Chapter 102: INTRUDERS

It was close to midnight when the first snow fell.

Zuri was sitting on the windowsill, staring at the darkness. Khaos bound her hand with thick bandages, so she couldn't scratch or harm herself and she was not allowed to untie it until he returned.

However, Khaos said, he was going to comeback when dinner time, yet even when it already passed midnight, he had not yet returned.

Her meal was on the table. Zuri could untie the bandages and ate, but Khaos told her to wait for him. Therefore, she was going to wait.

Moreover, she didn't want to eat alone.

'He will not come, you fool.'

'Do you think why he is not here? He lied to you, just like how he lied to the other people and used them.'

"He will be here," Zuri murmured. She started to rock her body back and forth, as she stared at the first snow that fell from the night sky. "It's beautiful..." she talked randomly.

Zuri glued her eyes at the white little thing outside, she refused to look at anywhere, because her father decided to make his appearance. She would prefer Xaden or her mother, but recently, it was her father, who filled her hallucination.

'Stupid child, you never learned anything, did you?'

'You are useless. Crazy and useless.'

"No. I am sick. Khaos said I am sick. I am not crazy."

'If you really not crazy, so why are you talking to dead people?'

Alpha Roland talked to her derisively, he smirked to see how his words bothered Zuri. Despite her effort to not want seeing him, Zuri still could see his reflection on the glass of the window.

She hated herself for hallucinating like this and why would she see his reflection? Was he real?

'You are not the only one, who hates yourself. Everyone does hate you.'

Zuri closed her eyes, she called Khaos's name repeatedly. She wanted him to be here, to calm her down. And without her realizing it, her claws elongated, pierced through the bandages. She was tempted to stab her father, but she knew, in the end, she would only stab herself. freewebnσvel.cѳm

Khaos didn't like it whenever she hurt herself, so she wouldn't do it.

'But, if you hurt other people, he will not mind, right?'

"No!" That's not right to hurt other people. Zuri shook her head. She rocked herself faster, patting her head and her shoulder, but it didn't feel the same. It was not the same like when Khaos did it. "Why he is not here? He promised me. He promised me to be here."

The voices in her head laughed viciously, mocking her, taunting her and calling her all names that you wouldn't want to repeat.
