The attraction between them was hard to explain. You could see how Khaos cared for her wellbeing, but it didn’t deter him from using her for his own benefit.
Albeit Khaos knew if they kept going on with the completion of beauty blood, it would put Zuri’s life in danger, he didn’t have any intention to stop it.
He was a little bit hesitated and had not yet decided which option he would take, but he was not going to stop. They were so close to their goal.
One of the three lycan legacies was already in their possession, the beauty blood was waiting for the completion, while the whereabouts of other items were already known.
"Put your dress and come with me," Khaos said. He helped her to put on her dress and take her out of the room, where she had been holed up for days. He ordered Gayle to come with them too.
Gayle followed them to the river creek in the wood, close to the place, where Zuri killed those Red Beasts that was sent by the king.
"I want you to attack Gayle."
It was rather cold and the ground was covered in snow, because last night there was avalanche. It worked on the magic users’ favor when they fought the royal warriors.
"What?" Gayle widened his eyes. "Alpha, you know that..." he wanted to remind the alpha that it was Zuri, who had beaten up the Red Beasts. If she could fight against seven of them, it would be an easy feat to shred him into pieces.
"In your human form."
"Why?" Zuri knew she could fight Gayle in her beast form. The curses that were given to her had strange effect on her body, or rather her beast. Whenever she was in her beast form, she could feel her feral side was way stronger. She became very violent. "I can kill him in my beast form in less than a minute."
Gayle grimaced when he heard that. It felt like an insult, since this skinny woman declared such bold statement confidently, but what upset him the most was the fact he believed that.
"Your beast side is strong, but your human side is not. There is no balance there." Khaos caressed her cheek. "You found it hard to control your beast’s side because your human’s side is way weaker."
Khaos was not sure what he wanted to achieve with this training, but at the very least, it could keep Zuri occupied and probably, she could forget about her unhealthy habit. Tired him out and she would eat more.
"I can’t half shift too?" Zuri raised her hand and elongated her claws.
"No." Khaos shook his head.
"How can I kill him if I can’t use my claws? It’s not fair. His human’s side is obviously way stronger than me."
"Wait, let me make this clear first. Should we kill each other?" Gayle raised both of his hands.
"This is only training, no one will die." Khaos patted her head. "Don’t kill him, he is still useful."
"Thanks, alpha, you are so kind," Gayle said bitterly. "What is it? Do you want me to train her how to fight in human form?"
