Gayle was not a saint, he had a good amount experience with naked woman, but he had never seen anyone close like her.
Her ribcages protruded against her skin, her stomach was hollowed and her extremely thin arms fell to the side.
He couldn’t believe that he was being overpowered by this skinny woman. How she could hold so much strength when she was this skinny? It was insane!
Not to mention, this was the same woman, who had killed nine of the magic users in less than two hours before.
Zuri looked like she had not yet eaten anything for months. Even those people, who lived in the poverty looked better than her.
This sight was astounded and Gayle ended up staring at her for longer than necessary. He couldn’t help himself, but gawked and this reaction rewarded him with a harsh kick from the alpha.
"Scram!" Khaos growled dangerously at him, using his alpha’s voice, which made Gayle whimpered and he dashed away.
"I will get clean dress!" He said in hurry, afraid the alpha would kill him. He looked like he was going to do that.
Zuri’s dress was covered in blood, therefore Khaos couldn’t put the dress on her again and his cloak was soaking wet when he went under the water to pull her up.
There was one thing that was clear here; She was suicidal now.
She had cut herself before and now it became more dangerous as they had inflicted more curses on her. Letting her go probably was not the best option when you saw this progress on her mental state.
Khaos cradled her in his arms, rubbing his palms up and down her body to keep her warm until Gayle returned with clean dress.
"It’s quiet down there," Zuri said in small voice, which was a little bit trembling because she was so cold. "I like it. I should take the ship, I guess."
"Are you going to jump from there?"
Zuri didn’t answer the question, she changed the topic, as if she couldn’t focus on one thing. "You said you are not going to leave me."
"I don’t leave you."
"But, you ask me to leave you." Zuri closed her eyes. "I don’t want to leave. I am used to the pain. My fault for complaining, so don’t tell me to leave. I have nowhere to go and I have no one to hold me like this. I am crazy. I know. But, I want to be with you. Attachment or not, or whatever you want to call it, I want to be with you."
And that was it. That was her truth.
