"Do you want to know my worth for Khaos?" Zuri asked between her laughter, at the very least, Rose’s comment was too hilarious for her to quench her murderous intention. "You can’t even hold a candle to me, princess. Stay away from him, you only make yourself miserable with your lame attempt."
Zuri continued laughing so hard, she teared up. She didn’t know why, but her question was very hilarious for her. It hurt her cheeks to laugh like this.
"It has been a while, since I have a good laugh!"
Rhett immediately stepped in and reminded Rose that the king was waiting for her.
"What happened to your sister? She is sick." Rose’s face had turned red because of anger and humiliation. The way Zuri laughed at her made her feel like she had said something dumb, as if Zuri was questioning her intelligent.
"I will take her to a healer." Rhett wanted Rose to leave immediately before she saw more this side of Zuri. They shouldn’t have let her be in the public after the ritual, though she looked normal most of the time, but still, they needed to take precaution.
Thankfully, Rose left them alone, but Zuri was still laughing. It became even funnier when her mother looked at her with disappointment. This was not something new. She should try something new with her.
"Fuck off, all of you!" Zuri shouted to the empty air, as if she was seeing someone there. "You are dead, stay dead!"
"Zuri," Rhett called her name with gentleness in his voice. He was worried of her. She was still his sister, even though he was more than willing to sacrifice her for the greater good. "Control yourself. You can control yourself."
Zuri grinned when she saw Rhett and raised her hand very quick with her claws emerged, she wanted to cut him.
However, Rhett had expected this attack and he dodged it in time. He put the distance between them, just in case she was going to attack him again.
"Come here, my favorite brother. Don’t you want to hug your little sister? Don’t you miss me? Don’t you feel sorry for what you have put me through?" Zuri chuckled.
"Zuri..." Rhett said helplessly. "I am sorry for what I have put you through... but, you need to understand, this is necessary. Don’t you want to see the alpha got what he wanted?" Rhett coaxed her.
"Don’t sweet talking me about accepting this shitty life. I will not care what he wanted if it’s not for you to put me in the position, where I have a strong attachment toward him." Zuri suddenly stopped laughing and the change was very quick, it looked very terrifying.
"Zuri, I know my fault, but even if I can turn back time, I will do the same thing." Rhett looked genuine with what he said. "But, I still love you. You are my little sister. I can promise you that I will do everything to ensure your survival after the completion of the beauty blood."
"Run."
"What?" Rhett frowned.
