Chapter 172: SHE FELT ALMOST NORMAL

[Yes, I did.]

Khaos replied through mindlink. He watched the shock on Zuri’s face, indicating that she heard it.

"I have a lot of voices screaming in my head. I don’t need you too," Zuri growled at him.

However, Khaos could feel her fascination behind her anger. They were tied together now and the mate bond would only grow stronger, which only complicated their feeling and the aftermath of it.

Yet, Khaos quite enjoyed this complication in his plan. Certainly, something had to change.

"I am not screaming at you." Khaos pointed it out. He moved closer to Zuri and was glad to see the anger in her eyes, because it was way better than the desperation and devastation look on her when he found her that day.

He would take her anger anytime.

"You don’t need to be in my head. I don’t need an extra voice in my head," Zuri growled viciously at Khaos. If it was not for the attachment she felt for him and now he sealed them into this mate bond, she would have killed him. "You sealed us together."

"I remembered there was time when you asked me to mark you," Khaos reminded her, he then pulled her toward him, at first, Zuri struggled to free herself, but when he caressed her back, she hated to admit it that she liked it, especially when he kissed her neck, the spot where the pain from his mark was.

His lips soothed the pain and she stayed still, realizing one more thing; her mind was clearer than the last few months. She didn’t hear the voices in her head. freewёbnoνel.com

[Then all you need to do from now on is to listen only to my voice.] Khaos mindlinked her again.

"I will get bored very soon if I only listened to your voice," Zuri grumbled, but she lifted her head to give Khaos an access to kiss her neck out of instinct. His touch alleviated her pain.

[I doubt you will get bored of me very quick. I am quite a charm.]

Zuri bristled when she heard that, but he was right. "Just because I let you to touch me and kiss me, it doesn’t mean I am no longer angry."

"I know. Be angry for as long as you wanted," Khaos replied simply.

For a moment, they stayed like that, relishing each other company.

"What happened?"

And Khaos spent an hour to tell her in detail about what happened. It had been two weeks, since the last time she was in the pack.

He looked for her. He stopped them from hurting her and he killed Elijah. Great. Zuri liked that part. She asked him in detail how he killed him, relishing it in her mind and Khaos could see it through the mate bond.

Yet, he still didn’t call her crazy for taking pleasure from such grueling image. That was the time when Zuri’s mind was the clearest.
