A Mate For The Last Lycan novel Chapter 196

Chapter 196: THE UNION (4)

"I don’t think they could get out of the water yet." Gayle narrowed his eyes, as he talked to Caiden, who were busy to restrain his twin siblings, as they whined for him to let go.

Caiden found them roamed around when they were supposed to be in bed and he was not happy about this, because it meant they were up to something not good.

Thankfully, Rian didn’t need to be restrained, as he stood next to Gayle obediently. He was only up, because the twin dragged him out of the bed. He yawned and rubbed his sleepy eyes a few times. It was obvious that the little boy wanted to go back to bed and didn’t wish to be there.

"Well, Khaos has marked her. Why would he stay in that cold water for long." Caiden growled at his twin siblings. "Can you stop? Hey, help me with them!" He looked at Gayle beside him.

"But, the tradition..." Gayle frowned and then shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever." He then picked Rian up and the little boy hugged his neck, as he rested his head on his shoulder and fell asleep almost immediately. "I will take him back."

Gayle turned around and then left. It left Caiden to deal with Otis and Mave, as the two of them struggled to get away from his big brother.

Meanwhile, people watched with wide eyed when they witnessed the alpha shifted into his lycan form for the first time.

Khaos carried Zuri out of the water and then put her down gently.

"Shift."

Khaos did it first, he shifted into his white lycan, looked majestic under the moonlight and then followed with Zuri, who shifted into her black beast.

Right now, the alpha and the luna were separated by a river and were distances away from the people, but they could see the alpha, especially when the white fur of the lycan was a great contrast from the black beast of the luna.

Both of them looked ethereal under the moonlight.

The luna looked like the shadow of the alpha, but at the same time, she looked mysterious and dangerous, while the alpha looked dominant and powerful.

Unfortunately, they could only enjoy the sight for a while, but the two of them disappeared behind the shadow of the trees.

This was the end of the ceremony, but of course, they knew the end of the ceremony was the mating between the two souls.

Zuri followed Khaos with ease in her beast form. The white lycan moved gracefully among the trees. If Zuri’s black beast fused with the shadow, then Khaos’s beast was the light in the darkness.
