"He is supposed to be dead, but I saw him. I swear I saw him. He wanted to hurt me like he used to do."
Zuri kept rambling about alpha Arthur, sometime her word was incoherent and her eyes were not focus, she continued to look around her, as if her father would pop out all of sudden from the corner of the room. freewёbnoνel.com
The hand that was still gripping the sharp shard of the glass was bleeding profusely, but she didn't seem to feel the pain.
From what Khaos understood, she thought she managed to hurt her father, stabbed him and the blood on her body right now was his, instead of hers. She had gone too deep into her craziness.
Logically speaking, Khaos didn't need her. With her being like this, she would be his liability and it outweighed her value.
He could find someone, who knew how to run business. It didn't need to be her. She was not that important for Khaos to keep her by his side. Once the word got out and his loyal followers knew about this, they would start to urge Khaos to get rid of her.
She was going to die in one way or another. After all, Zuri was not part of their plan. She was an unexpected element.
However, instead of going by his logic, Khaos actually stretched out his hand to get the sharp shard from her hand and out of instinct, Zuri swatted his hand, which in the process slashed the back of his hand.
Blood dripped to the ground from the wound and Zuri looked terrified. She threw away the sharp shard and cradled his injured hand.
"I am sorry, I am sorry, I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't mean it," she said in panic. She didn't care about her own pain, but it shook her when it was Khaos, who was in pain.
As a lycan, not only they were the strongest shifter, but their healing ability was way faster than any normal shifter.
Therefore, within a second, his wound had closed, leaving only trail of blood on the back of his hand, but Khaos didn't care much about his bleeding hand when he looked at Zuri right in the eyes, he put his finger under her chin and lifted her head up.
She was crying.
She was crying because she hurt her, not because she had hurt herself.
"We need to clean you up, you are covered in blood," Khaos said calmly, he then took her to the bathroom and undressed her.
Once again, he saw her skinny body. Her bones were protruding and without the dress that covered her, it was very apparent that she kept her habit of throwing up after eating.
Khaos stared at her body for a while and saw the wound on her thigh, it was still bleeding, but her healing ability started picking up to heal her quickly.
You could only imagine how deep she had hurt herself, even so, she felt nothing, not even pain.
Meanwhile, Zuri stared at Khaos. She stared at his beautiful grey eyes and ran her fingers on his cheek, but Khaos kissed her knuckles and then turned around, he ran water on the tub and added fire magic stone to make it warm. "Do you know my favorite color?"
"Hm?"
"It's grey, just like the color of your eyes," Zuri said. She approached Khaos and hugged him from behind. She nuzzled against his back. "I didn't mean to hurt you."
