A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 237

Looking at Sierra, Theo felt the urge to ruffle her hair.

As he raised his right hand to place it on her head, Nathan's expression darkened. "Mr. Gray, I just told you not to exert yourself, and here you are moving around carelessly. Look, your wound is bleeding again."

Sierra immediately reached up to remove the large hand from her head, looking at him with concern.

"Uncle Theo," she said softly, almost pleading. "You need to behave. When you're injured, you have to listen to the doctor."

Theo's eyes flickered. He stroked her head twice more before finally withdrawing his hand.

After Nathan finished bandaging him, Theo asked, "Sierra, could you get me a shirt?"

Sierra walked into the closet and selected a black shirt from a row of suits.

Since Theo couldn't lift his arms easily, Sierra helped him put it on. Standing behind him, she noticed scars scattered around the bandage. Burn marks stretched across nearly half his back. It was hard to imagine how extensive the injury must have been.

"Uncle Theo, how did you get these scars?"

Theo took the shirt from her and replied, "It was just an old injury from an accident."

She quickly stepped forward to help him. As she did so, her fingers accidentally brushed against his body. Especially while buttoning his shirt, Sierra couldn't help but stare at his well-defined abs, unsure where to look.

By the time he was fully dressed, her face was burning.

"Well, you haven't eaten yet. I'll go cook something."

Watching her flee in embarrassment, a flicker of amusement crossed Theo's eyes.

Sierra hid in the kitchen, splashing cold water on her hands before pressing them to her flushed face. The image of Theo's toned abs flashed in her mind—did he have an eight-pack?

She lightly patted her warm cheeks, her eyes wide and teary as she whispered to herself. "What are you even thinking about? Seriously!"
