As soon as the words were spoken, Sierra opened the door and stepped out, wearing matching outfits with Theo.
Benson's eyes widened as he took in the identical patterns on their hoodies. His expression darkened instantly.
They were wearing matching couples' outfits. He had never even worn something like that with Sierra before.
"What's wrong?" she asked, noticing the two staring at her. She quickly touched her hair and face.
Theo took her hand and smiled. "Nothing. He just thinks this style is embarrassing and was lecturing me about it."
Benson wanted nothing more than to shut him up. However, when he met those deep, unreadable eyes, he slowly lowered his raised hand. He stammered out a weak excuse. "Cee, I didn't mean the hoodies look bad. I just think it's… inappropriate for Uncle Theo to wear something like this at his age. If it were me—"
Before he could finish, Theo shot him a cold glance and led Sierra downstairs by the hand.
The sight of their matching outfits left everyone in stunned silence. It was one thing for Sierra to wear those kinds of clothes, but for Theo to willingly put on such silly matching couple's wear was beyond their wildest expectations!
"Looks great!" Edward boomed, his face flushed with delight as he beamed at them. "You two look like a perfect pair in these! Sierra picked these out, didn't she?"
Sierra nodded, glancing down at her toes, both pleased and a little shy.
Benson, who had come down with them, noticed her shy demeanor. His heart sank as he looked away, forcing a bitter smile.
"Uncle Theo and Aunt Sierra are so loving. I can't help but feel a little jealous," Sophie commented softly, resting a hand on her slightly rounded belly. With a gentle smile, she cast a sidelong glance at Benson.
