Sierra was infuriated as she took a few steps back.
Her actions made Benson's heart ache, so he blurted out without thinking, "Are you disgusted by me? We've done more than kissing before. Just a kiss wouldn't hurt."
If there weren't so many people around them, she would have shoved the cake she had onto Benson's face. What nonsense was he spewing? Things were completely different back then.
Once again, Sierra was reminded of how selfish Benson was. She found the situation ridiculous and glared at him coldly before walking off to look for Theo.
If someone had seen what had just happened, the rumors would have been endless.
Theo, who was talking with someone, saw Sierra approaching him from the corner of his eyes.
He immediately reached his hand out toward her, causing the people around them to all look at her differently once again.
Once Theo had sent everyone away, he noticed that Sierra looked displeased. "What's wrong?"
Pursing her lips, she hesitated momentarily before telling him about what Benson had done. Feeling down, she continued, "He never thinks about others. If I had reacted just a tad bit slower…"
Theo's eyes turned cold, clearly displeased with Benson's lack of boundaries. It didn't matter whether Benson still had feelings for Sierra or not. She was now his aunt.
"I'll teach him a lesson after we get back." Theo's patience toward his reckless and impulsive nephew was wearing thin.
At that moment, the Jones family had finally made an appearance, making their way toward Theo and Sierra as they exchanged greetings with their guests.
"Mr and Mrs. Gray, Melody told me you two would be here, but I didn't believe her," Gordon Jones, Melody's dad, said with a chuckle as he gave Sierra a once-over.
Sierra collected her emotions and smiled politely. "Ms. Jones was gracious enough to invite us, so it's natural for us to attend her banquet."
His eyes flickered and did not answer Sierra.
