Chapter 64
Aside from Finn, the other two boys were certain that
Simone was from Artline High School
Simone couldn’t understand why they were so sure about it, and their confidence left her feeling a bit awkward.
Noticing the uncase in Simone’s expression, Quinn rolled his eyes at Finn and stepped in to explain. “She’s not from Artline High School”
“No way, Quinn! If Simone is not from Artline High School, then where is she from! Sogin Vocational High School I’ve never heard of there being such a pretty girl at our school.” Finn said.
Anyway. Finn didn’t even consider the possibility that Simone could be from Sogin High School
“She’s not from Sogin Vocational High School either, Quinn said calmly.
He understood why Finn thought that way. Sogin Vocational High School and Artline High School were notorious rivals, and they had absolutely nothing to do with Sogin High School
Although Artline High School was a private institution, it ranked second among the many schools in Sogin, with its graduation rate just behind Sogin High School. Most of its students were wealthy heirs and heiresses, raised in luxury.
These students, backed by their wealth and decent grades, were arrogant and looked down on those from Sogin Vocational High School, often parking lights. Some even called them losers.
Sogin High School was not like Artline High School It ranked first in graduation rates and admitted students who had fought their way through countless exams.
That proved how exceptional they were. They didn’t bother picking fights with students from Sogin Vocational High School and didn’t even acknowledge their existence.
top
achievers.
Students from Sogin Vocational High School, therefore, always kept their distance from Sogin High School’s
Sometimes they ran into students from Sogin High School, but those students always looked disgusted, like they couldn’t get away fast enough.
Because of that, Finn didn’t think any student from Sogin High School would ever lower themselves to talk to losers like them from Sogin Vocational High School. That was why it never crossed his mind that Simone could be one of them.
All the boys turned to Quinn. Knowing what was on their minds, Quinn said directly, “She’s from Sogin High School.”
“What Sogin High School Finn was surprised. He glanced at Quinn, then shifted his gaze to Simone.
“No way, Simone Tell me this is not true” Finn never thought he would one day be eating with a student from Sogin High School. He could brag about it for ages.
What blew Finn’s mind was Simone’s look. She was nothing like the nerdy, black–framed–glasses stereotype he had for students from Sogin High School
Simone couldn’t help but laugh when she saw him staring at her with wide eyes. “I was going to tell you earlier, but you were talking so much that I couldn’t get a word in.
Finn lowered his head and scratched it awkwardly. “Sorry, I always talk too much.”
In his nervousness, his fork slipped from his hand and fell to the floor. He said with an apologetic smile, “Please forgive me. I’m kinda nervous. This is my first time eating with students from Sogin High School”
Trying to smooth things over, Finn quickly added, “Sorry, Simone. You’re just way too pretty and didn’t fit the image I had of a Sogin High School
student.
“Beudes, you didn’t even look down on us for being from Sogin Vocational High School, which just made me even sure I was right
Claire jumped in wath a teasing grin. Did you think all students from Sogin High School were nerds with thick glasses”
Caught off guard, Finn looked even more cimbarrassed.
Claire laughed and patted Simone on her shoulder proudly. “Well, you couldn’t be more wrong. Simone is the top student in our lith grade. Total legend at our school”
Fuim looked at Simone apologetically, “Simone. I’m sorry for underestimating you.”

at Simone.
Meanwhile, no one noticed the glint of pride in Quinn’s eyes as he glanced at
Alex and Timothy exchanged stunned looks, but they knew this wasn’t something anyone would joke about
Alex glanced at Simone with a mix of guilt and respect.
He said. “Sorry, Simone. We only misunderstood you because the Sogin High School people always treat us like dirt, like they can’t wait to get away
from us.”
Timothy smiled awkwardly. “Yeah. Sogin High School’s good kids usually ignore us, so we never thought you’d be one of them” Simone and Claire exchanged a glance and laughed. Claire found it funny that Simone, so smart, was mistaken for a Sogin Vocational High School student
After lunch, Simone and Claire headed back to the stadium.
The afternoon events kicked off quickly, but Claire wasn’t about to let Simone overdo it. After her morning cheering marathon, Claire insisted she stay in the rest area to recover.
Simone had no choice but to comply, setting into a seat in the rest area.
When the announcer called out Quinn’s name for the men’s 2–mile race, Simone glanced up slightly.
The race was already underway, with Quinn competing against boys from both Artline High School and Sogin High School.
By the halfway mark, most of the runners were visibly drained. Quinn, on the other hand, was far ahead, his face calm and composed, with only a faint trace of sweat. He seemed to have plenty of stamina left
It looked like he was about to take first place.
However, an unexpected twist occurred during the final lap
Simone saw Quinn running side by side with a boy from Artline High School, but the next second, the boy suddenly shoved Quinn aside, taking over his lane. Quinn stumbled and fell hard onto the track.
Simone felt extremely nervous.
A few seconds later, the boy who pushed Quinn crossed the finish line first. Quinn, however, still hadn’t gotten up. Only then did Simone realize something was seriously wrong.
She quickly rushed out from the stands, about to enter the track, but was stopped by a staff member. “The race is still ongoing. You can’t enter the
Simone looked at him and said anxiously. “Didn’t you see that runner number seven fell and hadn’t gotten up? He must be injured”
She thought this would be enough to convince him, but to her surprise, he merely glanced at Quinn and replied indifferently, “Oh, him‘ He’s from Sogin Vocational High School. Don’t mind him”
