William cast a glance at Leah, who was lying unconscious in the hospital bed and strode out of the room with an exasperated look on his face.
Madam Jones followed closely behind as she continued yelling, “What’s the matter with you? Why are you so angry with me today? Was I wrong when I said that murderer had hurt your sister so badly that she fainted? Tell me, was I wrong!”
“Leah has almost fully recovered from the accident and she’s doing fine, so if it wasn’t Sophia who crossed her, how could she have fainted all of a sudden for no reason?”
William clenched his fists tightly as he panted heavily. At that instant, he felt like a highly strung string that was about to break any second.
Meanwhile, Madam Jones was still rambling on, “Also, why did I hear that the jury sentenced your sister a two million compensation fine for mental distress and that they’re detaining your sister? Are they joking? Aren’t they supposed to detain the murderer instead? Was there a misunderstanding——”
“Murderer murderer murderer!!! Can you stop calling her a murderer and a b*tch?!” William yelled through gritted teeth as he interrupted his mother. He was so angry veins stood out on his forehead.
Madam Jones was stunned at his sudden outburst.
Mr. Jones frowned slightly as if he had expected it to happen.
“Sophia never hit Leah, nor did she attempted to murder Leah. All this while, Leah was the one framing Sophia with everything!” William snarled in a low tone. The anger of being cheated, the guilt he felt toward Sophia, all his emotions were intertwined together and he felt like his body was about to be torn apart!
His body trembled as he took a deep breath. There was a slight quivering in his voice as he spoke again, “Leah had been lying to me from the beginning, she planned all of this! She spent three whole years planning this entire setup just so she could frame Sophia!”
His darling sister, the one he had pampered and spoiled all his life, the one he had always been worried about being bullied by others, turned out to be the cruel one!
Leah had lied to him and used his guilt to continue hurting Sophia!!!
Madam Jones was taken aback first, but the shock was quickly followed by unabashed anger and disgust. “How can you believe anything that murderer says? Leah should have filed a lawsuit against that murderer two years ago when it first happened. It’s one thing not suing that murderer back then but now we’re the one getting blamed! Just great!”
“Evidence was presented in court, everything is out in the clear now!” William curled his fingers with all his strength that his knuckles cracked. “Evidence points out clear enough that Leah had set up the entire scheme and endangered her life just so she can frame Sophia!”
He swallowed hard as he continued, “If the evidence were fabricated, why didn’t Leah deny the claim? Besides, they had professionals to examine the evidence on the spot so there’s no chance of it being fake!”
“The murderer has Charles on her side now, who knows if they bribed the judge!” Madam Jones screamed angrily, “You know how gullible your sister can be and how she’s always being pushed around by Sophia, how is it possible that she’s the one bullying Sophia now? Are you really helping someone else instead of your own blood?”
“Besides, what kind of grudge does your sister have against Sophia that’s so bad to the point that she had to risk her life to accuse her of assault? You have gone crazy! How could you believe Sophia’s bullsh*t excuses!”
She had watched Leah growing up and she knew exactly what went on in that brain of her daughter’s. How was it possible that her well-behaved and kind-hearted daughter would risk her life to frame someone?
This was impossible!
“!” William’s face flushed red with fury and turned dark instantly. He turned to Mr. Jones standing in the corner and asked, “Father, what do you think? Do you also think that Sophia bribed the judge and fabricated false evidence?”
Mr. Jones avoided the question and merely patted William on his shoulder. “Don’t think too much now.”
“Father, I’m asking you what you think about this!” William repeated his question.
Madam Jones got even more furious. “Child, are you possessed by something? Why are you defending Sophia? Don’t tell me you’re still hung up on that murderer! Have you forgotten that she almost killed your sister?”
“William, no matter what Leah did in the past, she is still your sister,” Mr. Jones said in a knowing tone.
