Sophia gently slowed down her breathing. She had the urge to open her eyes to see what was going on, but she was afraid that she might get caught, and so she began to panic.

In her current state, even a ten-year-old child was able to easily subdue her, let alone four people. She was in no place to fight back!

What was she going to do?

“We can’t get her out of the room, someone might notice us.” A man’s voice sounded from above Sophia in the dark.

Judging from the voices, the two men who had spoken so far sounded like strong middle-aged men, but apart from those two, Sophia did not know who the other two were and what the situation was like.

If she stayed still and waited it out, things might just get worse.

Fortunately, Sophia remembered where the emergency button was. Without opening her eyes, she moved her arm with great difficulty in an attempt to press the button without being noticed.

Even if she was caught, at least the doctor and nurses would be alerted and rush over. Then, she did not need to worry about what these people might do to her.

Just as Sophia finally made up her mind and stretched out her right arm as swiftly as she could, as soon as her arm shot out from beneath the quilt, she was caught right away ——

He… Was he not dead? He had a whole funeral too, did he not?

Aside from that, he had just called out her name. How did he know that she was still alive?

Millions of thoughts immediately flashed across Sophia’s mind, but her body moved quicker than her brain as her hand hovered over the emergency button.

Master Harris had never liked her and even wanted to kill her too!

Especially now that she was technically dead, even if Master Harris killed her right now, Charles and her family would not find out about it either!

Then, even if Dr. Hemingway told them the truth, nobody might believe him, and even if anyone did, they would never guess that Master Harris was the murderer since he was dead as well!

“Stop her!” Master Harris’s furious voice sounded in the dark once again.

Sophia was just about to press the emergency button when someone grabbed her arm. She had wounds all over her body, and even though the person was gentle, the wounds on her arm still ended up breaking and she gasped in pain.

Someone switched on the lights.

Sophia squinted involuntarily, and when she opened her eyes, Master Harris, the man who was supposedly dead, was sitting right beside her.

He was wearing a hospital gown and judging from his complexion, he was not exactly in tip-top condition even though he was still alive.

Nevertheless, he was still in a better state than her.

Come to think about it, the mysterious bigshot knew about Harris Corporation being involved in human experiments but did not leak the news to the press. Instead, the person used it to send Charles to prison. Even so, Charles was still released out of prison in the end and nothing bad had happened to Harris Corporation as of yet.

Aside from that, the person planned her death and was someone close to Sylvia. On top of that, Master Harris was apparently no match against this person…

From the looks of it, it seemed that Master Harris, who had faked his death to the entire world, was this mysterious bigshot!

Just as he had announced his death to the public, he had now suddenly appeared in front of her… Sophia could not help but think that Master Harris was here to kill her so that he could keep his secret, knowing how ruthless he was.

Sigh, to think that she had faked her death to find out who this bigshot was so she could help Charles solve his problems. It now seems that instead of helping Charles, she had merely driven herself to her own death by doing so!
