Charlene felt as though she had stepped into a whole new world.
A smile would occasionally creep into her lips as she held the top-grade spiritual stone in her hand. Especially when she thought about the moment she had turned around and hugged Daniel in front of everyone, she felt both bashful and confused.
"Whether or not we strike it rich depends on these now," Daniel said, pointing to the box of herbs.
"With you around, is that even something to worry about?" Charlene wasn't stupid. She knew perfectly well that making money for Daniel was just a piece of cake.
Now, she felt even more confident about her cosmetics company. With someone like Daniel backing her, making money was practically a given.
"Hurry up and do your research! If you come up with something good, I'll expand the factory and set up production lines immediately," Charlene said confidently.
She had initially hesitated about Daniel's proposal to expand production, but now she didn't need to think twice. All she had to do was follow Daniel's lead.
Daniel chuckled. "No need to worry about that. But today…"
Charlene gave him a coquettish glance. "This is the last time, okay?"
When it came to matters of love and desire, the so-called "last time" often turned out to be a joke.
The next morning, Daniel woke up full of energy, only to find that Charlene had already left for work. With no outlet for his energy, he decided to channel it into pill refining.
When Daniel arrived at Taylor Apothecary, Luciana's eyes immediately lit up.
"Daniel, you're here!"
