Zidane lost control of his body and collapsed to the ground as he foamed at the mouth.
"Oh no! He's not going to die here, is he? What bad luck! This is seriously unlucky!" Daniel shouted dramatically and covered his mouth as he stepped back.
"Could he have brought some infectious disease back from abroad?"
At those words, the people who'd wanted to step forward immediately froze in place.
Daniel might've been exaggerating, but his words made sense. Contracting diseases from foreign travels was common.
Most guests were prominent businessmen and socialites who valued their lives dearly. Watching the drama unfold was one thing, but risking their health was another matter entirely.
Socialites who had ulterior motives hesitated to approach, but the most telling reaction came from Jennifer.
Daniel had always had a strong influence on her. Though she refused to admit to it, she had come to instinctively believe his words after their past two encounters. Now hearing Daniel suggest Zidane might've contracted an infectious disease, she panicked.
"Somebody, help! Get him out here now!" Jennifer reacted faster than anyone else and dashed away as Qranross Hotel's staff well-prepared for emergencies swiftly carried Zidane out.
"I was planning to stay a little longer, and it's a pity he's this weak." Daniel sighed regretfully before turning to Charlene. "Let's go, Ms. Geller. We have other things to do."
"Daniel, stop right there!" Seeing this, Jennifer's expression darkened as she stepped forward to block his way.
"Is there a problem?" Daniel's gaze turned cold.
Jennifer opened her mouth but failed to find the right words. Still, she stubbornly followed him.
