Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 276

"H-How… How is this possible?" Omari stared at Daniel, his face frozen in disbelief. He had no idea what had just happened.

Daniel let out a mocking laugh before pressing his palm down forcefully on Omari's chest.

"I told you—you're not dying without my permission!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Daniel swung his arm. In an instant, Omari's left leg was severed.

Before long, all his limbs were severed. He was reduced to a helpless torso, unable to do anything but writhe in agony. He struggled desperately, trying to move, but it was useless. He was completely at Daniel's mercy.

"Stop the bleeding. He's not allowed to die just yet," Daniel ordered coldly.

Then, he turned his gaze toward the direction where the mysterious laughter had come from earlier.

Omari's reaction made it clear—whoever had laughed wasn't one of his men. But if they weren't his, then whose?

Daniel briefly considered pursuing them, but he also knew this could be a distraction tactic. Instead, he gathered Edward and the others and left.

As they were leaving, Daniel glanced at Edward.

Edward flinched, his entire body stiffening in fear.

"Relax. If I wanted you dead, I'd have done it already. Go back and tell the others—if they want their debts paid, go to Zidane. If he refuses to pay, I'll handle it for you," Daniel reassured him.

Edward's eyes widened in disbelief, turning to look at Daniel with great excitement. "W-What? Are you serious?"

Daniel nodded. "Of course!"

Edward's eyes darted around, calculating his next move, and then he made up his mind on the spot.

Daniel had expected news about Jennifer to surface quickly. But two days passed, and nothing came up.

His brows furrowed as frustration built inside him.
