Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 30

Brielle quickly ran out, opening the door to find several colleagues peeking inside. But when they saw the bloody scene in the office, they scattered in fear, completely ignoring Solomon.

"What's the matter? Can't bear to leave?" Daniel sneered.

Solomon dared not stay any longer. Even though every movement sent excruciating pain through his legs, he gritted his teeth and crawled toward the door.

Daniel glanced at the office chair, stood up, and walked to the window.

"Mr. Fuentes, Ms. Ballard, I've taken the company back. Please have someone come over and take over the management," he said softly into the phone.

Laila was quick and efficient.

Solomon's miserable state truly frightened everyone in the room. Those who didn't understand what was happening fled even faster.

"Mr. Ashcroft, you don't need to worry about this matter. I'll take care of it!" Laila was full of energy, and she was far from how she had been when she first met Daniel.

Perhaps this was the reason people felt so invigorated after good news.

"Follow the previous layout for Ashcroft Group's setup and clear everything out of here!" Daniel looked around the office with disdain.

"Understood! I'll contact the renovation company immediately!" Laila responded energetically.

Though the company was short on staff at the moment, Ashcroft Group was still a heavy hitter. Plenty of talents were waiting for their summons, and neither Conor nor Laila had any doubts about that.

Daniel stood before the glass windows, gazing at the traffic outside. A faint smile curled on his lips.

He had reclaimed what the Ashcroft family had lost with his own hands.
