Kellen took a moment, trying to think of a solution, before opening his mouth.

"Why don’t we reach out to the Guiding Centers? We can form a contract with a couple of them to come to the Guild and help lessen the burdens of Casper and Brent. It’ll calm everyone down, and also help act as a scouting opportunity. We can always offer contract takeovers if we end up liking the Guides we receive." Kellen shifted in his lap as he stared at the Captain’s slightly stunned expression. He pressed his finger against his nose, giving it a poke with a grin. "Honestly, I’m surprised you didn’t think of it already."

Rhys stared at Kellen in deep surprise, before a warm, tender grin crossed his features.

"Kellen, I just told you I can’t predict your future., which included things you would be involved with. You fill in my blind spots, even if I can’t see it at the time." Kellen felt his face heat at the gentle words, and his gentle touch. "But I don’t want to burden Casper by asking him to set this up, nor Pamela since she is also busy with her original work." He seemed deeply apologetic for turning down Kellen’s offer, and Kellen huffed.

"You can leave it to me. I can do it. It isn’t like I can’t use my own contract as a base template, and I can run around asking them questions instead of forcing them to come to me. Plus, I would like to say I have some sway with the Guiding Centers, even if it is fear now." Rhys’ expression softened, while his eyes turned a beautiful shade of sunflower yellow.

"But are you going to be okay going to the centers? What if you run into one of your previous friends?" He asked seriously, concerned for the man who had cried so deeply over what had happened only a few weeks ago. Kellen’s chest ached at his words, but he shook his head, determined.

"I’ll be fine. I’m stronger than I was that day, since it felt like it came out of nowhere. Plus, since then I’ve been coddled by everyone else around me, so I’m feeling much stronger than before. Physically and emotionally." Kellen flexed his biceps with a grin and watched as a slight flush crossed Rhys’ face. His hand moved almost as if he couldn’t help it, and he gave Kellen’s arm a squeeze. Kellen kept himself flexed for his benefit, and watched as his neck muscles moved as he swallowed.

"You certainly have gotten stronger. Did I ever tell you how hot it is that you put on so much muscles so that I can fuck your brains out? It’s very hot." He told Kellen seriously, the flush on his face not hiding his intentions at all. Kellen laughed.

"Thank you for the compliment, even if I just think of this," he gestured to his chiseled body, "as work. I’m happy you’re getting something out of it. So, officially, am I taking over the contracted Guide’s work? Am I the one going around recruiting?" He asked, and the Captains’ expression as he stared at Kellen was something soft, warm, and made Kellen’s cock stiffen. He tried to remain strong though.

"Work talk in the bedroom? We can’t form bad habits from the get go, Kellen." His eyes were teasing, as he wrapped his arms around him and pulled them together until their chests were touching.

And I believe, someone in the past referred to their living room as an office and was trying to negotiate a pair contract with me there. With their lips." His eyes widened, before he threw back his head and laughed at Kellen’s smug expression.

"Alright, you’ve got me there. In fairness to me, I do have an actual office in my apartment, but I just also happened to have ulterior motives. I really wanted to get my hands on you back then." He was unrepentant as he looked at Kellen. Kellen stared back.

"Only then?" He asked, and Rhys pressed a kiss against his collarbone.

"Fine, I’ll admit it. I never want to leave you alone." The smile he gave Kellen at his words made a soft, warm part of himself melt, and he relaxed. What a handsome man that he could now call his own without any reservations.
