Kellen was happy, a little tipsy, and laughing as they left the restaurant, so it shouldn’t have surprised anyone when they got back to the tower and up to their floor that he invited the Captain back into his apartment. It shouldn’t have surprised the Captain, at the very least, but he seemed the most shocked in the situation. Kellen found it quite funny that when they had stopped in front of the Captain’s apartment, and the Captain had turned to say goodnight to him, he’d had this soft, calm look on his face. As soon as Kellen took his hand in his, and tugged him over to his apartment’s door, his face had flushed, and his eyes had gone comically wide. Kellen had laughed easily at him, finding humour in how easy it was to take him off guard. Should he...?
"Rhys, would you like to stay for a cup of tea?" Kellen asked softly, tugging gently on his hand. The man nearly tripped, and became so tongue tied Kellen had to fight to keep a straight face. Kellen worked on getting his own door open, while keeping an eye on him. The Captain covered the lower half of his face, the rest of him bright red, and his eyes were huge in his face. Kellen wasn’t sure why, but he felt like he’d won at some game they had been playing all day, and he quite enjoyed the feeling.
"Uh, um, are you sure?" The Captain’s voice cracked as he responded, and Kellen wasn’t able to contain himself. He laughed, turning his gaze back towards the powerful Esper holding his hand. He grinned at him, his eyes still dancing.
"Of course I’m sure. Why? Are you going to eat me?" He teased, and a shiver went down his spine as the Captain’s gaze shifted from the bright, yellow colour they had been before into the tarnished gold shade he was getting intimately familiar with. Kellen turned his back to him, pushing open the door. He stepped inside, the Captain following him like a shadow. As the door closed behind them, Kellen could feel his breathing speeding up.
"Are you asking me to?" He murmured, his lips brushing Kellen’s ear and neck. Kellen realised he had poked the bear as soon as they were alone in the apartment, but for some reason, the warning alarms didn’t blare.
"I thought I fed you well at the restaurant?" Kellen teased, his response coming out breathy. The Captain chuckled, wrapping his arm around Kellen’s chest and pulling him back against his own.
"What if I’m thirsty. Are you going to let me drink?" He asked, pressing his lips against Kellen’s neck. Kellen shivered, his hands going to the one the Captain had wrapped around him.
"T-That’s why I offered you tea." Kellen protested, and the Captain chuckled. The vibrations against Kellen’s neck made him shiver.
"Just tea, Kellen? What if I’m thirsty for more?" Kellen knew what he was trying to get at, but he was being purposefully obtuse. He almost wanted to see how far he could push him.
"I-I don’t have any beer here. We could go pick some up?" He suggested, and then almost screamed as the Captain just picked him up and headed for the couch. He tossed Kellen as if he weighed nothing onto the cushions, and Kellen spun around so that he wasn’t on his front. He knew that he did that, he was screwed. The Captain stood over him, his eyes glowing gold as he watched Kellen scramble onto his elbows on his back. His hands were on his hips as he watched the younger man, and when Kellen met his narrowing gaze with a wide eyed gaze of his own, a feral grin crossed his face. Kellen blushed instantly.
"We don’t have time to pick any up. And I was thinking...something a little more homemade." Kellen’s heart began to race in his chest.
"Uh, Captain? I don’t have anything homemade in the house." The Captain’s grin was devious and he began his approach. He raised an eyebrow as Kellen slowly began to scramble away from him.
"Where did your confidence go, Kellen? Afraid? I promise you can provide what I have a craving for. As long as you aren’t scared." Kellen laughed nervously, glancing behind him to see how much space he had left. He was screwed.
"My confidence went away when you threw me on the couch, Captain." Kellen told him honestly, and he chuckled.
"All because I tossed you around a little? I know you’re better than that. Come on, why don’t we practise some holds while we’re here. I promise I’ll let you win sometimes." Kellen could have choked on his tongue if he wasn’t careful. The Captain had been teasing him all day. All day. And now, with this little exchange, Kellen felt like his skin was on fire. He already knew he was hard, and if he was honest, he was a little afraid of what the Captain wanted to do to him. He wasn’t sure what the Captain wanted to drink, and he was worried it was going to be something gross.
"The couch isn’t big enough to do that." Kellen told him, trying to buy time. The couch dipped as the Captain put his knee on it, beginning to corner him.
