Chapter 271
“It’s pointless for Richard to know,” Alexander scoffed, his voice laced with venom. “After all, you’re nothing but a bastard.”
His words cut through the air like a blade.
“One falls, another rises.”
“You’re replaceable.”
There was no trace of hope or respect left in his eyes when he looked at his father now. His gaze was frigid, a blizzard of contempt, and the aura around him was suffocating.
When he swung the baseball bat at Damian, there wasn’t a single moment of hesitation.
Damian crumpled instantly, too broken to even crawl away.
The room fell into stunned silence.
Who could have predicted that Alexander would strike his own brother so mercilessly in front of everyone?
“Alexander, have you lost your mind?” Even Victoria was horrified by the sheer brutality of his actions.
She rushed forward, abandoning all decorum, and cradled Damian’s battered body.
“Damian, my darling, what will I do if something happens to you?” Her voice cracked, tears shimmering in her eyes as she clung to him.
She spun toward James, the butler, her tone sharp with panic.
“James, don’t just stand there! Get a doctor—now! And inform Richard to come see what his son has done!”
Despite the desperation in her voice, a calculating gleam lingered in her eyes.
If Richard saw the extent of Damian’s injuries, he’d have no choice but to punish Alexander.
Damian groaned in agony.
“Mom… it hurts. I think my spine is shattered.”
His vision swam, but the hatred burning in his eyes was unmistakable as he glared up at Alexander.
“When Father gets here… you’ll pay for this.”
His hands trembled as they clenched into fists. He wanted nothing more than to lash out, but he forced himself to hold back.
Now wasn’t the time.
He would wait for his father to arrive—and then watch Alexander be humiliated.
