Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 254

Though Delyth knew that she hadn’t given a good first impression to him, she knew that every man holds an urge to protect the woman who is weak and vulnerable. And this gentleman of the doctor couldn’t be any different.

As long as she acts frail, he would agree to help and forget whatever impression he had of her in the first time. After all, holding a grudge with a crippled woman would only degrade his reputation. For Arwen or any woman, he would sacrifice it. With that confidence, she glanced up at him, keeping her gaze soft and tearful.

Dr. Cred who had noted the words, looked back at Jason with slight confusion. "Dr. Clark, do you know her?" he asked, already assuming the back of his mind.

Given she was dressed in the patient’s clothes, it wasn’t hard for him to guess she was a patient here. If she was a patient here, and she knew Dr. Clark, it would be possible that the help Jason was referring to before was regarding her.

Before Jason could speak, Delyth answered Dr. Cred, her voice laced with hidden excitement. "Yes, Dr. Clark is a friend of mine."

Hearing her, the old doctor smiled. The earlier request of Jason started to make sense to him. So, he really wanted help for this lady. No wonder, he reached him out. But something still felt amiss. His gaze darted back to Jason. If he truly wanted help for a patient, he doesn’t need to be so humble. With just a small order, it would be easily taken care of.

But then did he hold a position to even question there? If the young Dr. Clark makes a request, no hospital in the entire Cralens holds the authority to refuse him. It was his fortune that he came to ask him. At least this way he got to make acquaintance with such an influential figure.

Thinking like that, Dr. Cred was ready to ask someone to look for Delyth’s medical reports, so that he could personally ask the best of the doctors of the hospital to treat her. But just when he would have signalled someone around, Jason’s words halted him.

"A friend?" Jason’s words came as causal as they would have come for any stranger. His eyes suddenly were coldly staring at her as if accusing her of stirring some nuisance here. "Sorry, miss, but do I know you?"

Delyth was frozen dumb. Her expression clearly reflected the confusion. Just now, before she explained to Dr. Cred, she saw a flicker of recognition flash in Jason’s eyes that gave her the confidence to call him a friend. There was no way, she saw it wrongly. Then why was he embarrassing her? Was he being deliberate?

But whatever was it, she couldn’t let it escalate. So, she quickly spoke, "Dr. Clark, it’s me, Delyth Ember. Last, we met at South City Hospital, almost two months back and we have exchanged a few words." Her voice carried a clear hint of desperation.

Jason wanted to really clap at the woman’s audacity to think those words were something that held the value to keep her in his memories.

Although he recognized her at the very first glance, it had nothing to do with her impression. Rather he remembered her because she dared to harm Arwen last time. He hasn’t forgotten it because if he hadn’t appeared at the right time that day, Arwen would have suffered another accident.
