[Yifu Pavilion]
Huang Ying Yue stood in front of the biggest fabric clothes shop in the city. The Yifu Pavilion was one of the clothes shops owned by the Sima family from the Inner Domain.
The Sima family's business is extremely prosperous, relying on making the best-quality fabric from the best silkworm with the best quality.
They opened branch clothes shops everywhere in the Inner domain and the Outer domain.
There are three floors in this ancient, exquisite building. On the walls of each floor, colorful hanfu and robes hang. There are both men's and women's hanfu in different sizes. Many men and women were coming back and forth to buy the clothes.
"Welcome, Young Master and Young Miss, to the Yifu Pavilion. How could I help you?" A plain-looking middle-aged man came forward to greet me warmly. He was a practitioner.
"Are you the manager here?" Huang Ying Yue asked.
"No, Miss. I'm just a small assistant here." The plain-looking middle-aged man still replied professionally.
"Uncle, Would you mind introducing me to the hanfu here?" She asked politely.
The middle-aged man was stunned, then he smiled. This time, his smile was a little warm and real.
Most of those young girls always looked down on him because of his plain appearance and small role. This girl seemed to come from one of the top families here based on her extraordinary temperament, yet she was so polite.
"There are three types of fabric and silk here that we use to make the hanfu. The Mulberry silk, the Castor silk, and the Tasar silk. The Mulberry silk is the best-grade silk, the Castor silk is the high-grade silk, and the Tesar silk is the medium-grade silk." The middle-aged uncle walked to the second floor while introducing her to them one by one as he pointed to the three types of silk fabric on the long table.
"The price is also different. Each of the silks is soft; it's just that if you choose the higher-grade, the robe will have many functions, such as preventing the body from getting dirty by the dust and making the body feel warm in winter and cold in hot season."
"The higher the grade of the silk, the more effectiveness it provides. If the medium-grade silk can produce 20% of the protective function, then the high-grade silk can be 40%, and the best-grade silk can produce 60% of the functions I mentioned above." After he finished, he looked at the girl, who looked back and forth while focusing on listening to him.
"May I touch the silk?" She looked at the soft silk fabric.
"Go on, Miss." The middle-aged uncle nodded.
{So soft.} Each silk is completely smooth to the touch, with a soft and almost waxy feeling. Each silk is incredibly soft with a flattering sheen, giving it a high-end and luxurious appeal.
"Uncle, how much is the price of each hanfu?"
"Miss, could you please tell me the style that you want? Because the price will be based on the style of that design and the quality of the silk." He said. Mostly, the rich ladies liked to add some other materials and embroidery to their robes to look more noble and pleasing.
"Clean but harmonious, plain but not vulgar, not too eye-catching but pleasing, elegance but not luxury. The embroidery can be simple, but don't be too much." She imagined the style she wanted.
She wants a beautiful hanfu; she doesn't like complicated decorations or too-shiny embroidery.
Too much decoration and exquisiteness will make people think that she was a miss from a powerful background.
Although she doesn't care about people's opinions of her, no one wants to go around while getting pointed at by countless people with different opinions, like they were watching a fashion show in the zoo, right?
The middle-aged man was stunned.
He asked himself, How many women on this continent can be like her? No one doesn't want to look beautiful and attractive, right? Who doesn't want to dress pleasingly when they have enough money?
He could tell that she was the kind of person who didn't want to get involved in or attention from the world. She is a kind, carefree, and simple person. So she wants to be low-key.
