Chapter 108: Inadequate Sword?

As soon as the carriage came to a stop at the door of the mansion, Orion stepped down and stretched his limbs. Looking around, he saw that the evening sun was about to set.

He thought for a second and turned to look at Edgar. "Uncle Edgar."

"Yes, Young Master?"

"Do you have time for another round of sword practice? I don’t want to miss days."

Edgar’s brow lifted slightly, a faint smile forming at his lips. "You’re not tired after everything today?"

Lucan jumped down from the carriage and said while puffing his chest out, "Hah, it’s our Young Master after all. He can go for another 300 rounds and he won’t get tired."

Orion grinned in agreement. "If anything, I’m more eager to train. I can’t afford to lose now after building my reputation in the last few days."

Edgar laughed out loud. "Hahaha, that’s our Young Master. Let’s go to the training ground."

[Wooo~ Another evening of sweaty swordplay! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ Just don’t pass out like yesterday, okay Master?]

’Heh, it’s better to pass out in the embrace of two beauties than sleep alone.’

[Master, you pervert! (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄)]

He chuckled and followed Edgar into the mansion before heading toward the training room.

The trio entered through the estate’s wide doors, the warm glow of mana-lanterns lighting the polished floors with a soft amber hue.

Their footsteps echoed faintly down the hallway as Orion and Edgar parted ways with Lucan, who loudly declared he needed to "check on the wine cellar for research purposes."

Orion rolled his eyes.

Together, he and Edgar made their way toward the training hall in the west wing of the estate.

The corridor leading there was lined with old paintings of famous duels—knights crossing swords with mythical beasts, and even one scene of a Thunder Dragon locked in combat with a sword-wielding warrior.

’A sword wielder fighting a True Thunder Dragon, huh? Must be a legendary figure if not dead,’ he inwardly mused. He knew how truly frightening True Dragons could be, after all.

[Hehe, it could just be a painting, Master. Or maybe the True Dragon was a young one?]

’Well, whatever. I need to learn how to hold a sword properly before fighting anyone.’

As the two stepped into the training hall, the familiar scene of weapons lining the walls greeted them again.

Edgar walked toward the center of the hall, already stretching his arms. "So, how did you feel using the sword today? You used it against that noble brat, right?"

Orion followed him and casually reached for the standard steel longsword he had been training with the day before. He gave it a few test swings, then frowned. "...It feels too light."

Edgar turned to look at him thoughtfully. "Too light?"

"Yeah. Yesterday I didn’t notice it because I was still getting used to the basics. But after fighting a decent match, now it feels like I’m swinging a twig," Orion said, rotating his wrist and staring at the sword as if it had personally insulted him.

Edgar chuckled, "That’s a good sign. Means your body is stronger than the beginner sword apprentice."

[Oooh~ Look at you, Master, outgrowing beginner gear already! What’s the next step? Swinging a dragon like a club? (≧▽≦)]

Orion ignored Lumi and looked over at Edgar. "Do you have something heavier?"
