Chapter 41: Grandparents Reaction

He asked in a low yet murderous voice, ready to kill whoever injured his dear grandson. Selene also stood up and hurriedly walked toward him.

Orion’s eyes twitched; he didn’t expect his reaction would be so intense, yet this scene also warmed his heart.

He gently gestured for both of them to calm down, "It’s nothing serious, Grandpa, Grandma."

Selene stood in front of him and looked at him deeply; shining runes flashed in her eyes as she saw through his injuries.

"How?? All of your mana channels are damaged," she muttered in shock, placing her hand on his chest. "...Did you try to form an Awakening Rune?" Selene looked at him sternly and asked.

Orion rubbed the back of his head with slight embarrassment and nodded, "Yes, I was curious how it would go, and since I read that the backlash for forming the first rune isn’t that hard, I tried my hand at it. Who knew this would happen..."

Eldric heaved a sigh, "Haa... you are too reckless; you should have asked one of us first about it."

He moved closer and inspected his body. "Haa... you are really injured, but your body seems unnaturally strong for someone at the Awakening Stage. But anyway, take this." He took out a bottle filled with a thick liquid.

Orion’s eyes flashed as he used his Eye of Revelation ability on the bottle.

[Ding!]

[Item Detected: Liquid Vi%#is (???)] [Description: A rare alchemical potion capable of healing internal injuries and regenerating damaged mana channels.]

[Further Details: Insufficient Level. Unlock more seals of the Eye of Revelation for additional information.]

’Damn, this shit is actually working. Though some information is missing, it’s still good.’ He inwardly heaved a sigh after finally being able to use this particular ability. The last time he had tried, he was immeasurably disappointed in it.

He quietly remembered the limited details provided by the Eye of Revelation. ’Looks like I need to unseal it more if I want to use it more.’

"Thank you, Grandpa. But what is it?" Orion carefully took the bottle and asked curiously.

"Nothing, just something I got from a friend for healing injuries. Quickly drink it up." Eldric shook his head and gestured for him to drink it quickly.

Orion lightly smiled, fully understanding that a treasure of this level would be highly protected even in the top noble houses, yet Eldric gave it to him like nothing. This warmed his heart if nothing else.

He carefully uncorked the bottle and swiftly drank down the thick, slightly sweet liquid.

Almost instantly, a warm sensation spread from his core, moving throughout his body. Orion’s eyes widened in amazement as he felt his damaged mana channels rapidly repairing themselves in real‑time.

The intense, prickling pain gradually subsided, replaced by a gentle warmth soothing every inch of his being.

"This... is amazing," he whispered softly, clearly surprised by the potion’s immediate effects. He expected the liquid to work slowly; after all, damaged mana channels were no small thing. But it looks like he underestimated the effects of an Exalted‑grade treasure.

Eldric chuckled lightly, shaking his head with gentle amusement. "It’s good stuff indeed, lad, but don’t get too excited. The rapid healing will slow down soon."

As if on cue, the healing sensation began to wane, slowly reducing in intensity until it settled into a faint, soothing warmth. Orion frowned slightly, noticing the healing had become significantly slower.

Eldric placed a reassuring hand on Orion’s shoulder and patted lightly. "Your mana channels aren’t ordinary injuries. They’re extremely delicate and intricate, so the potion’s initial burst of healing was only there to stabilize your injuries. Now it will slowly heal over time. Complete recovery requires time and careful rest."
