Chapter 62: Eyes of Revelation

"Now, this is more like it," Orion murmured with excitement as they entered the heart of the marketplace, seeing countless colorful stalls and elegant shopfronts lining both sides of the streets. "This is what a truly lively place looks like. And I feel like I might really find a good deal here."

Edgar smiled knowingly. "Indeed, Young Master. The Central Marketplace is where treasures and mysteries of the entire kingdom gather. There might be trash hiding beneath a treasure."

"...You mean treasure hiding beneath trash?" Orion looked at him speechlessly.

"Cough," he coughed quickly to hide his embarrassment, "As I was saying, if one has a good eye, then it’s not hard for them to find treasures here for a cheap price."

Lucan soon brought the carriage to a halt near the market’s entrance. "Alright, Young Master, go wild. If you need any help, just shout for me," he joked playfully.

"Yes, yes, the negotiator Lucan will help me in the market." Orion chuckled and shook his head.

"Cough, looks like I will need to look after the carriage, Young Master. Hope Sir Edgar won’t let you get scammed here." Edgar stood below the carriage, bowing slightly and motioning with his hands towards the marketplace.

Orion’s lips twitched. "You were all talk in the end, huh?" He shook his head and descended the carriage with Edgar.

"Looks like it’s only us now, Uncle Edgar." He smiled and walked at the front.

Edgar softly chuckled and followed after him.

They soon stepped into the lively marketplace, looking across the myriad stalls in all directions. Edgar followed behind like a bodyguard while Orion took in the lively atmosphere of the market.

"This place is truly prospering. So many people, so many races, so many treasures." He breathed in the mana-rich air of the market.

Edgar nodded his head. "Indeed. Let’s go and look around now, Young Master."

Both of them headed into the lively market, their eyes scanning the various stalls. Edgar followed closely behind Orion, offering advice occasionally but largely leaving Orion free to explore at his own pace.

’Fuck, it would take forever to even find a decent piece of trash.’

[That’s the true grinder’s path, Master! You can do it!\(^▽^)/]

’Fuck that, let me try something,’ he inwardly said before closing his eyes briefly.

Just as he opened his eyes, the world around him lost color for a split second before everything returned to normal. However, now, there were tiny invisible runes floating atop his eyes.

’Eyes of Revelation, let’s see if you can do the job,’ he softly whispered.

Orion activated his Eye of Revelation discreetly and immediately, he could sense vague auras emanating from nearby items—each aura representing the treasure’s rank.

He quickly realized his limitations—the stronger auras from items above the third tier were indistinct or barely readable, while those at the seventh tier or higher seemed utterly incomprehensible, only revealing vague hints of immense power.

’Well... this is good enough. I didn’t expect I could see the ranks of treasures in such a large area at once.’ Orion nodded to himself, pleased with the capability of the ability.

’I should be able to look at clean details of treasures below Seventh Grade if I focus on one, I think. That’s good enough for me for now.’

He decided to inspect the ability later and chose to focus on the treasures he could see. Walking leisurely along the stalls, his gaze moved from one stall to another before stopping on a small stall nearly hidden on one side of the road between big stalls.

An elderly vendor sat calmly behind the stall, which displayed an assortment of dusty relics, small trinkets, and unremarkable-looking gems.
