Chapter 86: Nytherion

Once again, he gently knocked on the door but didn’t get any reply from her side. He softly sighed, "It’s me, Seraph. I’m entering."

He softly opened the gate and entered inside to see her still sitting at the table beside the window, gazing at the morning sun. However, at his entry, her face turned slightly toward him.

He moved his gaze toward the table to see the Moonberries still placed there. She hadn’t eaten any of them and had just kept them there.

He heaved a sigh and moved toward her. "You will become skin and bones if you don’t eat properly."

While saying this, he picked up the Moonberry plate and placed it beside the gate to take it out while exiting, and replaced it with a fresh plate of Moonberries that he had prepared.

"Eat these fresh ones whenever you feel up to it," he said gently, his voice warm and comforting.

She neither said anything nor moved a little.

Orion’s lips twitched a little seeing her not even react, ’Are we back to square one?’

He sighed and took a seat near her. "You know, I found something quite interesting yesterday—a grimoire. It’s filled with incredible knowledge about fire magic."

Slowly, Orion began to share details from the Emberflame Grimoire—its profound insights into the essence and nature of fire, the philosophy hidden within flames, and the powerful spells it contained.

Since he didn’t have anything new to share, he just decided to share what he had learned from the grimoire. And as he spoke, his voice became animated, passionate, and alive, completely engrossed in the knowledge he’d gained.

Seraph listened silently without changing her expression. However, her eyes held a faint, almost imperceptible spark—a subtle sign that she was genuinely listening to his words.

"It’s fascinating," Orion concluded after a long explanation, leaning back slightly in the chair, his eyes filled with enthusiasm. "I’ve never read something so profound about an element before."

Seraph continued to absentmindedly look toward him.

Orion smiled gently, "Maybe once you’re feeling better, we could read it together."

He continued talking about the things he had discussed with her grandmother during the morning as they continued to stay inside the room.

Eventually, Orion stood up and stretched lightly.

"Anyway, make sure to eat these Moonberries this time," he said gently before turning around. "They’re rare, so don’t waste them."

She gave a faint nod—barely perceptible, yet more than she had ever given before. But Orion didn’t see it, already walking away.

"Rest well, Seraph," he said as he walked toward the exit. "I’ll see you again later."

He picked up the old plate and exited the room, leaving Seraph staring at the Moonberries on her plate.

He walked toward his room with the Moonberries in his hand. He picked one up and threw it in his mouth, ’...Hmm, does the storage ring keep these fresh?’ he wondered, noticing the taste had changed since the last time he ate them.

[Not the storage ring but the inventory, Master. Moonberries are placed inside the Inventory, which keeps them fresh.]

’Ah, I see. So that’s why the taste changed. They’re still good but way off from their original taste.’

"Master, what are you eating?" Rina curiously asked, seeing him walking back with a plate.
