First Legendary Dragon: Starting With The Limitless System novel Chapter 90

Chapter 90: Lacking Close Combat?

Orion inwardly agreed but didn’t comment, letting his consciousness slowly fade away under the gentle massage of the two girls. And before long, his breathing evened out, and he drifted into peaceful sleep, the fatigue that had built up during the training melting away slowly.

Rina and Fiora exchanged soft, affectionate smiles, continuing their gentle massage a bit longer to ensure Orion’s rest was truly restful. Eventually, they quietly cleaned up, gently covering Orion with a soft blanket, ensuring he slept comfortably through the evening.

With one final, fond glance at their peacefully sleeping master, they quietly exited the room, leaving Orion to his restful dreams.

"Mmm..." Orion’s eyes gently fluttered open as he felt his stomach rumble. Softly sitting up, he stretched his upper body, "They really did a nice massage this time, much better than their first time."

Looking around, he saw that they had already cleaned up the room, leaving only him sleeping inside.

[Hehe, you should have seen their eyes filled with gentle care. Ah, I might just melt looking at them. (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄)]

"Calm down, baby girl. Those eyes were not for you but for me." Orion smirked and shot her down.

"Hmm... I feel like a bum. Sleep, wake up, eat breakfast, eat lunch, sleep, eat dinner." He chuckled to himself before standing up. "Well, it’s dinner time now."

Saying that, he went to wash his face inside the washroom before heading out.

After exiting the room, he found Rina and Fiora standing there, neat and clean. Clearly having taken a bath after massaging him, they turned to look at him and happily bowed before greeting him.

"Did you have a good rest, Master?" Rina asked.

Orion nodded his head, "Yes, I feel better all over after the massage."

"W-We are h-happy that you l-liked it," Fiora said while looking down shyly.

Orion smiled hearing their words. They continued chatting for a bit before heading towards the dining hall.

"Good evening, Grandpa, Grandma," he said while entering the dining room, where the maids were preparing plates as usual. He went ahead and sat down beside Selene.

"Good evening, lad. How’s training treating you?" Eldric chuckled and asked, knowing full well that Edgar doesn’t go easy while training others.

Selene shook her head and looked him over, "You didn’t injure yourself while training, did you? Most people hurt their wrists or legs the first time they practice swordsmanship."

Orion shook his head. "Uncle Edgar is a good teacher. He told me what to fix before I could injure myself."

"So, what brought this training schedule all of a sudden? Finally feeling the pressure of entering the academy?" Eldric smirked and asked.

Orion’s lips twitched, "Aren’t you too light-hearted right now? What happened to the Golden Era? Is that still coming or were you wrong?"

Eldric’s expression turned serious as he nodded his head, "How can I be wrong about such a thing?" He then heaved a sigh. "But what’s the point in being gloomy all the time? Whatever will happen, will happen either way."

Orion fell silent and inwardly agreed with Eldric’s words.

Eldric, feeling the atmosphere turning gloomy, quickly changed the subject, "Well anyway, I’m just happy you’re not only focusing on your elemental talent but also training your body. You’ll be at a disadvantage in the future if your close combat is weak."

Selene nodded her head proudly, "Of course, after all, whose grandson is he? How can he allow himself to have such major weaknesses?"

’Who will tell them that once I unleash my true form, my close combat abilities will be my strongest card?’ he thought to himself in amusement.

[Can you even access that form, Master? (ノ≧∀≦)ノ]

’...Shut it.’

The three of them continued chatting and eating dinner. And soon, the dinner finished as Orion headed toward his room after dismissing both Rina and Fiora.

Entering the room, he closed the door behind him, looking at the softly illuminated room under the moonlight.

"Tomorrow will be another long day," he softly said. "Hmm, I should take a bath first. The training really drained me." Saying that, he went to take a bath.

After finishing his bath, he came back while drying his hair with his towel. "Haa, now that I’m used to bathing with those two, it feels quite empty to bathe alone." ƒrēewebnovel.com
