"HAVE YOU called Gayoon-san?"
"Yes, Haru Oppa," Lee Sarang answered Haru’s question politely. "Since Gayoon Oppa is using his private plane, he’ll be here in less than an hour. Are you going to pick him up in the airport?"
Haru nodded. "It will be faster to bring him here if I use my teleportation skills. I should at least do that much to the person who helped me have my own Status Window."
Right.
Of course, there was a deal involved.
But it didn’t change the fact that it was Ki Gayoon who convinced President Kwak Hakjae to activate Lee Sarang and Haru’s personal status.
As of the moment, it only applied to natural S-Class Espers.
Even so, it’s a huge advantage for us.
"Are you sure that you’re not going to retrieve Mo Hanjin’s Core?" Haru asked carefully. "I know it’s already too late to ask because Mo Hanjin had already been cremated."
Right.
After Mo Hanjin died, they quickly cremated the Guide’s body.
Of course, they didn’t just use an ordinary fire to do that.
Haru Oppa summoned one of his subordinates who is an A-Class Esper with the ability to control flame, like Sungbin Oppa.
Both Lee Sarang and Haru made sure that even Mo Hanjin’s Core would turn into ashes.
And it did. freeweɓnøvel.com
After that, Haru used his teleportation skill to bring Lee Sarang to the Shinano River.
The two of them used a boat, but it wasn’t like they were there to hang out.
We’re here to spread Mo Hanjin ashes in this river.
"I guess I just want to know if you really don’t regret letting Mo Hanjin’s Core turn to ashes," Haru said, pausing for a moment. "I know this is insensitive and cruel, but if it were me, I would harvest his Core and use it for studies. Of course, I’ll do it in an ethical manner by asking for his family’s permission first."
Lee Sarang hugged Mo Hanjin’s urn closer to her chest. "Is it because the enemies are already doing the same thing, Oppa?"
"Yes. We can’t let them get ahead of us."
"I can see where you’re coming from, Oppa. But, to be honest, I don’t have the heart to do cruel things like that even if it means getting behind of the enemies."
"Well, that’s something I already know. Gayoon-san doesn’t call you a crybaby for nothing," Haru said teasingly. "For someone who has the ability to control ice, you’re pretty warm, Sarang-san."
"So I have been told," Lee Sarang said, and then she started to spread Mo Hanjin’s remains in the river. "But, Haru Oppa, I’m still called the ’Ice Queen’ for a reason."

"KID, you should at least learn to use half of my abilities."
Kwon Hojun flinched when Matthew, the ghost, talked to him directly.
To be honest, ever since he awakened as an Esper, he also gained the ability to see the ghost of Matthew— the original owner of the Core in his heart.
He did his best to ignore the ghost because the ghost kept ignoring him, too.
But, this morning— right after Haru and Lee Sarang left to do an important business— Matthew’s ghost ordered Kwon Hojun to go to the training room.
Hence, here we are.
"Now that Gayoon Hyung and the others know the truth, a civil war within the Hunters in Korea is likely to happen."
Kwon Hojun gulped after hearing that. "That sounds bad, sir."
"It is. Sungbin Oppa and Sooin Noona might appear weaker than Gayoon Hyung and Sarang at the moment. But the thing that stole my body could upgrade their abilities at any moment. That’s why I need you to train your hardest and improve in the shortest time possible. Gayoon Hyung is too prideful to ask for your help— but he needs it. You still have the Core of a natural S-Class Esper, after all."
To be honest, Kwon Hojun had a short attention span.
Hence, he was barely listening to Matthew.
He talks a lot for a ghost...
"But, before we start, you should call your Guide here. I’m going to draw out the power in your Core, so you need your Guide to be nearby in order to snap you back to your senses—"
"Kim Jaeha is your Guide. You’re compatible with him, aren’t you?"

It’s the protocol when a high-ranking Esper visits another country, especially in secret.
I know I should be more careful and less reckless this time, but I feel like I’m going to lose my little shit if I approach things too carefully.
