Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 508

Fortunately despite Hank's arrogance and self-righteousness, he could read the room when necessary.

Noticing Shannon's sidelong glance, he refrained from spouting nonsense about being her cousin and that she was obligated to help him.

Instead, he said, "You can name your terms. I'll do anything as long as it's within my power and you're willing to help."

Shannon was obviously pleased with his cooperative attitude. It spared her from the unnecessary chatter.

"Five million dollars and you provide the raw stones," she said concisely. Then, she added, "I'll finish it within three months. Don't rush me for it."

Hank's eyes widened slightly at the price. The amount seemed a bit steep. "Can't you make it a little cheaper?"

Five million dollars and high-grade raw stones would cut his personal savings in half.

Shannon shot him a look and calmly reminded him, "When you first sought me out, you said I could name any price."

Hank didn't know what to say. He had indeed said so when asking her to seek Rosalie for emerald pendant customization, but that was when he had assumed he was dealing with a seasoned expert.

And now, the seasoned expert turned out to be his younger cousin. The price felt like a rip-off.

Though Hank thought so, he decided to keep these thoughts to himself. He knew that with Shannon's petty character, she might back out of helping him altogether.

Hank said nothing, but his expression still betrayed a trace of reluctance.

Shannon spoke up, "If you think it's too expensive, I can give you a tip."

Hank looked up to hear her continue with a straight face. "I heard that Uncle Alex bought you a three-million-dollar sports car as a back-to-school gift.
