Hector's phone rang with a new message. Shannon noticed him raise an eyebrow and immediately knew that something was going on.

Sure enough, he said, "Thomas just texted me. Apparently, Grandma went to Hank's room and seemed to be searching for something by the side of his bed."

The three people in the room exchanged tense looks, and Shannon, still on the video call, immediately remembered the doll's clothes. "Looks like her next target is Hank."

Mentioning Hank made her realize what she'd forgotten earlier. She'd attached protective talismans for every family member, but Hank was the only one who didn't have one.

It was no wonder Hank was the next unlucky target.

Shannon wouldn't admit that she'd done it on purpose. She had simply forgotten about him.

The maid nodded. "Understood. I cleared out some old stuff a few days ago, including some older and unused items."

When "Marie" heard this, she realized that the doll clothes Cecily wanted had likely been thrown away during the cleanup. It wasn't her fault that she couldn't find it, and Cecily hadn't hidden it well enough.
