Olivia lowered her head and replied in a calm and unhurried manner, “I’ve been too busy.”

“Busy?” Norah scoffed. Indeed, you seem to be quite busy. Your uncle mentioned that you’ve made quite a name for yourself in your career.”

Her harsh tone laced with sarcasm made Olivia feel very uncomfortable.

“Look at you, all dolled up. You look quite presentable

It looked as if Norah wasn’t at ease unless she talked this way. Olivia flashed a smirk and said straightforwardly, “Just get to the point. Why did you call me back?”

Samantha, fanning the flames from the sidelines, said, “Olivia, how could you speak to Grandma like that? It’s so impolite.”

Olivia looked at her, her gaze devoid of warmth. “Samantha, I don’t recall asking for your guidance on how I should speak.”

“You!” Samantha was momentarily at a loss for words.

“Enough,” Norah said, her displeasure evident as she cast a disapproving glance at Olivia. “She’s your cousin.”
