This was because becoming a Sage did not mean advancing from the GALAXY Realm, and instead it all had to do with the type of Dao a being studied and whether they had assimilated it.

When it came to the level of Great Sage, this one involved both an advancement of a Realm and the inclusion of assimilated Daos!

In the Dark Universe, the level of GALAXY could be considered to be the peak, with individuals only becoming Entities after they had fully comprehended a Dao, and for those chasing the title of Sages...they had to have both comprehended and assimilated not just one Dao, but multiple!

When it came to the level of Great Sages, very little information about this existed as it involved the secret of advancing past the level of GALAXY, with individuals capable of doing this only termed Great Sages if in addition to their Realm, they comprehend and assimilated a single Grand Dao.
