Sierra fell in step beside Quinn and glanced at the child walking with her. “How old is she?”

“She’s three. Her name’s Dora.”

“She’s adorable,” Sierra said with a smile.

Children are intuitive. Dora wasn’t afraid of Sierra at all–she kept stealing little glances at her.

Sierra wasn’t the chatty type, and she didn’t know Quinn well, so once the polite exchanges were over, she didn’t say much else.

Johnathan dropped Quinn and Dora off at their hotel first, then drove them all to the restaurant.

It was Sierra’s first time at this place, but Quinn seemed very familiar with it.

“It’s been so many years since I’ve been back. This place hasn’t changed at all,” Quinn said with a trace of nostalgia.
