Rachel smiled and remarked, "Well, judging from his attacks, he must have become a royal saint already. We can never hope to catch up to him in terms of talent." She was full of admiration for Severin.
"Thank you for saving us, Elder Severin. We would have been in big trouble if you hadn't shown up!" Several disciples stepped forward to express their gratitude.
Severin smiled and said, "The Highworld Sect disciples are utterly despicable. I would have found it less distasteful if they only wanted to rob you of your spiritual herbs. It's sickening that they would try to kill you."
He then said to everyone, "Take whatever items you want from their spatial rings. We'll find a place to rest for a bit so all of you can recuperate. Our journey will resume once your injuries have healed. If you meet any of our fellow sect members, remember to tell them that the Highworld Sect isn't our only enemy. The Horizon Sect's disciples must also be regarded as a hostile force."
"Are we to consider the Horizon Sect's disciples hostile too?" Several disciples, including Rachel, expressed their surprise. Severin had only been slightly wary of the Horizon Sect's disciples after entering the realm, but that advisory had since changed significantly to treating them as outright hostiles.
"Yes," Severin reiterated. "They must be treated that way because they regard us in the same light too."
Elsa chimed in in frustration, "You probably don't know this yet, but my master encountered the Horizon Sect's disciples earlier and they immediately tried to kill him. They even declared to my master that the orders came from Frederick."
Elsa went on to relay the entire story to the disciples. Rachel clenched her teeth in anger after hearing it. "I never would've expected the Horizon Sect's scion to be so petty. It doesn't befit his status as the best of his generation. That being said, we can't blame Miss Gilda for this either. It's bad enough that he spread rumors that ruined her reputation, and now he's letting his disciples kill ours without rhyme or reason. Who wouldn't get angry!"
