"Our kind won't let you of that easily after what you've just did!" said their leader, a monsteroid practitioner who had reached level four paragon. He turned around and departed in a stream of light, leaving only his harsh remark with them. They left at lightning speed, as if they were expecting to be pursued right away.
Callie looked in the direction in which the two monsteroid practitioners left and heaved a sigh of relief. She then asked, "Do you wish to halt them?"
Severin had just recovered a bit of his spiritual power and shook his head to reply. "Forget them. Let's return to Merak. I'm counting on you two to stand guard."
Severin had no intention of further engaging with two minor threats. Though he had successfully eliminated Damian, he had used up a considerable amount of spiritual energy. The once golden ocean in his energy center now lay drained after consecutively using the Lotus Divine Attack, the Stellar Punch, and the Chaotic Swordshadow. He needed to meditate and replenish his spiritual energy at the soonest possible opportunity.
Spencer rose to his feet and patted his chest. "You may rest assured. As long as I'm breathing, the dragonoid prince will have to go through me first!"
Witnessing Severin's true strength had allowed Spencer to make the decision to align himself with Severin in the Starry Sky Battlespace. For a level four paragon to kill a level six paragon was a feat too incredibly to be described in words. By extension, that would seem to suggest that Severin would overpower a level nine paragon by reaching level seven!
Being fellow disciples, Spencer knew that Severin had joined the Grandiuno Sect only a year and a half prior, but the progress demonstrated within that time frame was nothing short of astounding. If Severin continued with that trend, he might even be able to challenge a powerful royal paragon.
The thought of that excited Spender.
