Selene came over with a pout and said, "Humph! You forgot about me during the previous banquets!"
Embarrassment washed over Severin's face when he heard her complaint. He chuckled and said, "Well, you were in seclusion all those times, and I didn't want to disturb you."
Selene scoffed at his answer, placing her hands on her hips and glaring angrily at him. "Liar! You didn't think of me at all!"
Severin's expression darkened immediately, and he felt a flush of heat spread across his face as guilt and panic began to set in.
Diane's eyes gleamed with affection as she observed the playful banter between father and daughter. She walked over to Selene and patted the girl's head. "There, there. Your father didn't mean it, okay? He waited for you this time, didn't he?"
Gilda and the others approached her and concurred. "Diane's right! You came out of seclusion at the right time! It's the perfect opportunity for a family gathering!" Gilda said with a soft smile, revealing her adorable dimples.
Sheila smiled heartily, and her face lit up as she exclaimed, "A proper celebration is in order now that Severin's a supreme paragon, we're all royal paragons, and Selene's a level two paragon!"
"Yes. We deserve this," Sofia said. Her eyes sparkled with nostalgia as she recalling their days in the Skyblue Sect and the Grandiuno Sect.
The thought of Severin's barbecues sent a tantalizing aroma wafting through her mind, stirring her appetite and making her salivate. Ever since they arrived at the Grandiuno Sacred Land, they all felt the pressure to train diligently, especially in terms of preparing for the impending clash in the war with the Primordial Sacred Land. Sofia and the others had not indulged in such delights for ages.
