The sun soon began to set, and all of Southsky's practitioners began to board the ship after the Wicked Tribe's party had been eradicated. Severin then piloted the treasure ship and traversed across the void to make their way back to Grandiuno Sect.
After returning, Severin immediately entered the practice room and began to continue his retreat. He first spent several days recuperating from his injuries and restoring it to peak condition. Once that was done, he retrieved the Oculus Blade.
With its golden glow and solid metal body, the almost-sentient Oculus Blade seemed to sense Severin's intentions. It vibrated rapidly and emitted a resounding roar.
Severin grinned upon observing that and muttered, "Anxious, are we?"
He retrieved it and decided to upgrade it into a protective divine weapon. With four pieces of divine gold in hand, Severin had just enough to upgrade it to become a level-five protective divine weapon.
A level-five protective divine weapon could harness even more of the Rules of Heaven and Earth. Its power had already approached that of an immortal weapon and was equivalent to the combined assault of several half-immortal monsters. Severin believed that even the Ancestora from the Ancestral Sacred Land would suffer severe injuries upon being hit by the level-five protective divine weapon.
Though the Green Empire Pagoda was a formidable artifact, it served mainly as a functional supporting item due to its limited combat advantages. By contrast, the Oculus Blade, once upgraded to become a level-five protective divine weapon, gave Severin the confidence to defeat even level nine supreme paragons.
