When that thought surfaced in Baldwin's mind, the black energy surrounding him instantly surged out of his body, wrapping him up completely and whisking him away in the blink of an eye.
Meanwhile, over at Eastplain, there stood a divine mountain that towered through the clouds and was formed out of unusual colored rocks. There, birds were in song, and apes lazed about. On the top of that mountain were a myriad of lights and auspicious energy. One could regard it as something of a heaven on earth—a sort of paradise that was second to none.
That was the location of the Darklight Sacred Land. Inside their cave heaven, an old man was meditating in the sea of clouds. He was dressed in a solar-lunar robe bearing numerous manifestations of rules all over it. Before long, he fell into deep thought as he was awoken by the dark clouds covering the sky and the scene of blood rain. "A half-immortal has fallen..." he mumbled.
The next moment, countless rules of light converged on his vision.
He looked up into the void, with his gaze penetrating through the distance until it finally reached Northsea's borders. After seeing the scene in the Northsea battlefield, the old practitioner had to suppress the horror in his heart as he murmured, "Now that the half-immortals have engaged in battle, it seems all too clear that the war is extending its reach. The Darklight Sacred Land will not be able to avoid it for long. It is about time we seek an ally."
After the old practitioner finished speaking, he walked out of his secret abode and went straight to the entrance of the Darklight Sacred Land.
