Severin seemed to sense a sort of impending awakening within him. He attempted to use his solar spirit to check out the situation, but he soon found that the Green Emperor's Pagoda which he had under his control was thwarting his attempts to peer into it.
"Guess I'll just leave it be for now. We'll find out what's in there eventually," Severin murmured to himself and decided to retract his solar spirit before leaving his inner world. Ten days of seclusion had been just about enough to heal about 70% to 80% of his internal wounds, leaving only minor remnants of injury that would soon fade with time.
As Severin prepared to depart, a sudden surge of divine energy seized his attention. The Green Emperor's Pagoda erupted in a radiant green light before subsequently unleashing the energy of an ancient soul.
"That's..." Severin gasped in astonishment as he beheld the spectacle unfolding before him. He had never fathomed that the Pagoda harbored such a soul within its confines. The realization sent shivers down his spine, and beads of sweat formed on his brow. Fear began to creep into him as he began to slowly digest what was happening. He wondered just how long did that soul lay dormant within the item, especially as he had already brought it into the sacred land's cave paradise. Were it not for the fortuitous activation triggered by the absorption of half-immortal blood and essence, the soul might have remained undiscovered indefinitely.
The thought sent shudders down Severin's spine. The uncertainty of whether that soul was friend or foe left him uneasy, as he believed that there might be a risk of danger within that newfound revelation, especially as it came at such a critical time. His only solace was that the he had uncovered the truth early on.
