Severin waited until only Adrian and Amethyst remained in the hall before voicing his concerns. "Master, relying solely on the patrol guard will probably not be enough to challenge the Primordial Sacred Land, especially considering Egbert's warning that the corpse puppet killed him with barely any effort. And as if that's not bad enough, the puppet was made using Xavier's body, who I'm sure has perfected his half-immortal attainment before death."
Severin's expression was fraught with worry as he continued, "Moreover, there's also a possibility that the Ancestora's true form has ascended to true immortality. We cannot afford to be careless."
Adrian, who was seated on the elevated platform, could tell that Severin was speaking in an advisory tone. He glanced at the Jaxon and the rest of the disappearing figures before lamenting, "I know that, of course."
He knew better than anyone just how strong the Ancestora was having clashed with its clone 'Baldwin' and thwarted its plans during numerous encounters with the Primordial Sacred Land.
With the Ancestora finally breaking free, it would likely attempt to vent its anger on the Grandiuno Sacred Land.
However, there was nothing that Adrian could do about it. He was but a mere half-immortal, and the most he could do was try and form an alliance with the other half-immortals. However, the outcome was not promising, as Abner and the others each had their hidden agendas.
With that in mind, he got up and paced on the raised platform. Turning to Severin, he said, "I won't deny that great opportunities might be present during this great crisis, but with the others harboring hidden agendas, I'm afraid that the final task of dealing with the Ancestora will fall on us. Severin, your progress in cultivation is commendable. I'll buy you some time. The Grandiuno Sacred Land may be able to wear through this crisis should you surpass us all and ascend to immortality in this golden age."
Severin felt that the pressure was on him to succeed, but he knew from the conversation between the half-immortals earlier that they each harbored their own intentions.
