Though Severin was a little heartbroken that two pills were unsuccessful, he knew that he had to step up his efforts. For the pills to be deemed true celestial pills, they would have to endure a heavenly tribulation.
Celestial pills were unlike normal ninth-grade ones. They were created through the force of heaven and earth—a defiance of natural order which would certainly invoke a thunderbolt tribulation. Only through weathering said tribulation and embracing the power therein could those few become true celestial pills.
Severin unlatched the lid of the cauldron. He retrieved the pills and tossed them into the sky. "Go forth!"
As if imbued with sentience, the pills pierced through the void and materialized within the cave world beyond the Green Emperor's Pagoda. In an instant, the cavernous space erupted with a cacophony of thunder and lightning as dark clouds loomed ominously overhead.
This spectacle seized the attention of all disciples and elders within the cave world.
The first elder, Heath, was busy meditating in seclusion at the third peak. He soon caught a whiff of an unprecedented fragrance wafting through the air, and his countenance shifted in marked astonishment. "This smell… could it be?"
He tore open the space around him and traversed a passage into the heart of the cave world.
Upon arrival, Heath beheld the suspended pills as his eyes widened in awe. "My guess was right! Those are celestial pills!"
As one of the few ninth-grade alchemists within the Bleurealm, Heath was intimately acquainted with various concoctions. Such pills were not new to him, but he was puzzled to see them because he never came across any celestial herbs within the entire Bleurealm. All he could think was, 'What are those pills made of?'
He abandoned those thoughts for the moment and hastened to the Green Emperor's Pagoda as the pills were about to experience the tribulation.
