Severin advanced and exchanged greetings with Amethyst and the others before turning his attention to Adrian on the elevated platform. He saluted and asked, "Why are your injuries so severe?"
"It was a lapse in concentration," Adrian replied, downplaying them.
As the main half-immortal of the Grandiuno Sacred Land, he had borne the brunt of the onslaught during the conflict and had been assailed most fiercely by the corpse puppets. The battle had erupted so suddenly that there was scarcely any time for them to alert the barbarics' Jaxon and Greatflare's Lumino. Seven corpse puppets had descended upon the sacred land, claiming the lives of two half-immortals.
Adrian had consolidated his attainment after years and years of being a half-immortal. Naturally, he drew significant attention from the adversaries and faced the onslaught of three corpse puppets. Fortunately, his formidable prowess prevailed, and the puppets were dispatched with extraordinary skill.
He reflected upon what happened and glanced at the pale-faced Severin. "Has the Ancestora fallen?"
Upon his return to the mountain gate of the Sacred Land, he had discerned an anomalous celestial phenomenon manifesting in the chaotic void several thousand miles above. That heaven and earth had darkened along with the blood rain that descended was a sure sign that a true immortal had reached their demise.
Severin nodded in confirmation and said, "There is no longer any reason to fear. Neither the devils nor the Primordial Sacred Land can continue to pose a threat. I have subdued the Ancestora and averted any future crises in the Bleurealm."
Upon hearing that, everyone breathed a sigh of relief as their faces were alight with jubilation.
Amethyst applauded and said, "Magnificent!"
Heath then lamented, "Mona and Cuthbert's sacrifices were not in vain! Although I still find it regrettable that they have not been able to witness this triumph." His voice was choked with emotion, and he let out a deep breath that seemed to suggest his relief of a burdensome weight.
