Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 2999

Over at the Skyblue Sect some several thousand miles away, the sect-protecting formation was already starting to crumble. Larry—having already become a supreme saint—had been appointed to the esteemed position of the sect's great elder. Larry observed the cracking formation above with an impassive expression. His murderous gaze shifted to the practitioners outside, which were cloaked in a dark and malevolent energy.

After a moment, Larry calmed his murderous intent and said to Mick, Rachel, and the others, "The defensive formation might not hold for long. The two of you will take Hardin and escape."

Mick retorted angrily, "What do you mean by that, Larry? Why not just let Rachel take Hardin and escape? I can stay behind and hold the line!"

Mick was no coward, for he was once the head of Mus Hall under Severin.

"Do as I say, Mick. Yidel and the others are severely injured, and our sect leader has disappeared into the void. We don't know yet if she is able to reach our former boss. Our priority right now is making sure that we survive this!" Larry hastily explained with a frown.

Before they could say anything else, the sect-protecting formation shattered and unleashed a violent shockwave that engulfed the Skyblue Sect. Larry sprang into action, positioning himself in front of Mick and the others. He unleashed a devastating attack with a wave of his sword.

Several of the devil practitioners snickered. "That's a bold move coming from a weakling!"

The malevolent forces' leader unleashed the aura of a royal paragon, effortlessly dispelling Larry's attack. The force showed no signs of stopping and immediately cleaved the mountain into two. When Mick witnessed that, he pushed Rachel and the others to safety, opting to stay and counter the attacks. He propelled himself with his feet and immediately launched a swift assault.
