Severin shook his head and stopped himself from thinking too much. With a decisive motion, he grasped Eliza's body and cast it directly into his Small Thousand Worlds. Even in death, a true immortal's corpse retained residual power capable of lasting for epochs.
Observing the corpse within Small Thousand Worlds, Severin channeled his divine senses into his inner world and urged the power of heaven and earth to destroy the corpse. That way, the power within would then be absorbed by his inner world. Soon, the corpse dissipated in a wisp of gray mist, leaving behind a fist-sized mass.
After observing that the path of death had vanished, Severin licked his lips and felt a sense of jubilance. He swiftly mobilized the power of his Small Thousand Worlds to swallow and refine the essence, integrating it as his own.
Not long later, a brilliant light erupted from the illusory river of time, and the path of death lingered above it. The radiance from the path of death seemed to be far more dazzling than any of the other paths! An idea then came to him on a whim, and he produced a beam of gray light from his fingertips. Lo and behold, all life within a few miles of the room was reduced to death. Severin grinned as he witnessed his enhanced mastery of the path of death.
"My trip to the Devil Realm wasn't in vain, it seems!" He had obtained a bumper harvest of treasures following his victory over Eliza, and he was even able to raise his understanding of the path of death to a much higher level!
The laws which he had perfected included space, time, swordsmanship, lightning, and thunder. They would provide an ample foundation for his enlightenment.
