Deep within the Grandiuno sect, Amethyst and Adrian had just achieved their breakthrough to true immortality and were sitting in the main hall to enjoy some spiritual tea.
They were chatting amiably with several others when an overwhelmingly terrifying aura surged from the sky and enveloped them. Everyone felt their souls tremble, and a reflexive urge to kneel before that supreme presence seemed to overcome them. It felt as though they were facing a supreme being that wielded dominance over heaven and earth.
"Is Severin making another breakthrough?" Amethyst exclaimed with his eyes wide. An inexplicable chill seemed to descend upon him despite his recent breakthrough to true immortality. Even the power of laws surrounding him was not enough for him to withstand the sheer insurmountable feeling of the pressure. It was as if there was danger lingering behind him, and even his heart began to tremble. The feeling that life and death were hanging by a thread seemed to permeate through his entire body.
Adrian and the group set down their teacups and dashed out of the hall toward Severin's location. With a solemn expression tinged with jubilation, his breakthrough was a cause for celebration in the Longevity Alliance. Severin was their leader, after all, and their reliance on pills for immortality had united them under his command. Thanks to the successful rise to immortality of Amethyst and the others, the Longevity Alliance's reputation had spread throughout the Bleurealm.
Meanwhile, in the cave heaven's practice room, Severin sat in meditation while a halo of three thousand glowing laws surrounded him. The aura he exuded was that of a perfect-stage true immortal.
Gazing down at the river of time, Severin's primal spirit beheld the golden light composed of the three thousand paths condensed below. He sighed deeply, "I have reached perfect-stage true immortality at last, and all three thousand of the paths have been mastered to at least small success. The next step is to transcend time, gather my past, present, and future selves, and become a royal celestial."
During the past three months of fervent training, Severin made remarkable progress and achieved eight or nine insights every day. The time had finally come for him to live up to his expectations.
