The nominal ruler of the Tri Celestial Islands was Balke and the Benlagh Sect that he established.
At that moment, the spiritual light pervaded throughout Benlagh Island as ethereal rays were scattered everywhere. Dense spiritual energy coalesced into a thick mist, while white cranes flew in a captivating aerial display amidst a symphony of chirping red birds. In the verdant forests were an abundance of animals such as white deer and huge apes. Exotic flora that had been nurtured for millennia flourished abundantly, including orchids, human-shaped panax, fleeceflower, and other medicinal herbs.
Nestled within the island's heart was a grand palace adorned with intricate cornices and painted pillars. It was crowned by a resplendent radiance amidst an aura of somber mystique. Deep within the palace, Balke was in the midst of honing his royal celestial divine technique when he abruptly ceased his training and opened his eyes abruptly. As a royal celestial, he was able to keenly sense the tumultuous vibrations emanating from the river of time.
He raised his gaze and a gleam of light appeared in his eyes, encompassing the unfolding tableau across the river of time.
"He's gaining insight into the principles!" Balke exclaimed as he saw Severin beginning to integrate his future self. "He's a prodigy of the highest order! It was not long ago that he managed to defeat Gyddur's clone so effortlessly, and now it seems he's about to become a royal celestial!"
Balke was filled with astonishment. As he observed Severin's progress, he discerned that Severin would soon be able to succeed in the endeavor, and a new royal celestial would be born on the horizon.
"A prodigious talent without a doubt. It makes sense that Callide would extend her token as a sign of goodwill. Perhaps she foresaw this outcome long ago," Balke mused aloud as bitterness tugged at his heart. Had he known that Severin's chances of becoming a royal celestial were that certain, he would have acted differently and established a good connection with Severin, if only for Balke's own benefit.
