After the doctor checked on Bai Luyun's condition, he finally said, "Comrade, the patient's condition is good. She can be discharged today."
Hearing this, Han Yuheng let out a sigh of relief and said, "Thank you, Doctor."
After the doctor left, he turned to his wife and said, "Wife, I will go take care of the discharge procedures. Finish your porridge, and we will leave soon."
"Okay," Bai Luyun nodded.
At noon, the two of them finally left the hospital and returned to the village. Over the past three days, their son had been entrusted to a middle-aged neighbor. After they arrived home, the woman brought their son over.
Seeing that Bai Luyun was fine, she let out a sigh and said, "Sister-in-law, it's great that you are okay. You don't know how scared your husband was when you fainted so suddenly."
Bai Luyun smiled as she hugged her son and began to breastfeed him. After a moment of silence, she said, "Sister-in-law, thank you for taking care of my son these past few days. I have troubled you again."
Hearing her words, the middle-aged woman felt something different about her this time but couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Thinking she might be overthinking it, the woman smiled and said, "What are you saying? We are neighbors. It's only right for me to help."
Just then, Han Yuheng entered the living room carrying a bamboo basket. Placing it on the table, he said, "Sister-in-law, these are some mushrooms and fruits I picked in the mountains. Take them for the children to enjoy."
The woman didn't stand on ceremony and replied with a smile, "Then I won't be polite, Team Leader."
After chatting for another half hour, the middle-aged woman left with a smile on her face.
Once they were alone, Han Yuheng carried their sleeping son to the bedroom before returning to the living room to sit with his wife. Noticing her gaze, he asked, "Wife, is there something on my face?"
Bai Luyun shook her head and gently caressed his cheek. After a moment, she said, "Husband, I just want to look at you. I feel like it's been a long time since I really looked at you."
Han Yuheng was stunned by her words. After regaining his composure, he smiled and said, "Wife, you can look as much as you like."
Five minutes later, Bai Luyun suddenly said, "Husband, I have made up my mind."
The moment he heard this, Han Yuheng's heart skipped a beat. Although they had reconciled, both of them knew that the thorn in their hearts still remained. Unless it was pulled out, they couldn't truly be sincere with each other.
"Wife, you—"
Before he could finish, Bai Luyun leaned over and kissed him. Then she said, "Husband, I no longer blame you. This time, I have truly let go."
