Under Logan’s quiet control, not a single person in the banquet hall paid attention to what was happening.
Tom finally realized he had just been beaten up by a woman, and his rage exploded. "Selina, how dare you!"
Bang.
Another punch.
Selina’s expression didn’t even change. "Young Master Hanks, you must be joking. You dared to try and ruin my face, but I’m not allowed to hit you?"
Tom screamed, "I’m the heir of Hanks Group! If you dare go against me, you’re as good as dead!"
Natalia hurriedly stepped in, feigning concern. "Sister, please don’t do this. Young Master Hanks never meant to take your life. Can’t you just talk this out...?"
"Shut up. Say another word, and I’ll beat you too."
By the end, Tom couldn’t even make a sound anymore. His whole body ached—how could a woman hit this hard?!
Selina crouched down, laughing softly. "Young Master Hanks, if the law can’t solve the problem, I have other ways. Do you understand?"
Tom gritted his teeth. "Just wait, Selina! I’ll make sure you get expelled!"
Selina couldn’t be bothered with his empty threats. She turned away indifferently—only to freeze mid-step.
Logan stood in the corner, watching with a faint smirk. Who knew how long he had been standing there? "Mrs. Reid fights hard. Have you trained before?"
Selina felt a little guilty. "No... Tom just inspired my potential."
Logan chuckled in amusement. "The Hanks Family won’t let this slide so easily."
Selina scoffed. "Then let them come at me."
In fact, she had already set her sights on Hanks Group. Since Tom had offended her, he could pay for it—with his father’s company.
After a good night’s rest, Selina made a few phone calls before heading to school.
Jack was puzzled. "Sir, you’re not accompanying Madam?"
Yesterday, she had thoroughly humiliated Tom. He was bound to cause trouble today.
Logan spoke lazily, "Do you think Tom even has the power to be a threat to her?"
Jack was about to respond, but Logan continued on his own. "Then let’s take away his power."
With Logan’s ruthless efficiency, he didn’t even need to lift a finger. Jack made two phone calls, and within ten minutes, Hanks Group was nothing but an empty shell.
The company’s shares quietly transferred into Logan’s hands. He chuckled lightly. "Consider this an apology gift from the Hanks Family to Mrs. Reid."
City A University.
Selina immediately noticed that something was off.
Her classmates were avoiding her. No one dared to speak to her on the way in.
It was as if she had been completely isolated.
Selina couldn’t be bothered to think too much about it. She simply closed her eyes and rested.
Just then, her phone vibrated twice.
A female classmate who was usually friendly with her had sent a message:
[Selina, Tom’s mother came to school today. Professor White is entertaining her. She threatened that anyone who dares to be friends with you will have their family ruined. We’re all too scared to talk to you...]
[The Hanks Family has a lot of influence in City A. They also have ties with the Perry Family. Mrs. Hanks and Mrs. Amelia are close... If you offend them, there won’t be any good outcome.]
Selina smirked. So Mrs. Hanks is trying to intimidate my classmates now?
"Selina, Professor White wants to see you." Someone called from the doorway.
Selina nodded calmly and headed for the office.
At the same time, another message popped up on her phone. It was from Gordon:
[What’s going on, Selina? Why did you call me to school? Justin and the others were bored, so they came too.]
Selina slowly typed a response:
[I was just thinking... having a strong background is really nice.]
Tom thought he could use his family’s influence to crush her?
She hadn’t revealed her identity at first simply because she couldn’t be bothered. But since the Hanks Family refused to back down...
Then let’s see whose background was truly stronger.
Inside the office.
