Selina finally looked up and let out a cold laugh. "Sugar daddy?"
Miss Cooper raised her voice. "Don’t play dumb! Your sugar daddy has a close relationship with Vivian. Do you think I don’t know?"
Selina’s eyes narrowed.
She had a sugar daddy? And Vivian said so?
Miss Cooper, feeling triumphant, added, "I suggest you don’t mess with the Perry Family. Kneel down right now, or no one will be able to save you later!"
Selina replied calmly, "You keep talking about the Perry Family. Are you their dog?"
"What did you just say?!" Miss Cooper froze for a moment before realizing the insult. She immediately flew into a rage. "Did you just call me a dog?! You must have a death wish! Someone come here!"
The restaurant manager rushed over, wiping the sweat from his brow. "Miss Cooper, please calm down. Don’t get upset!"
He glanced at Selina, failing to recognize her, which made it clear she wasn’t a socialite from any prominent family. Without hesitation, he chose to side with Miss Cooper and shouted at Selina:
"Miss Cooper told you to kneel and lick it clean—don’t you understand? She’s a friend of Miss Perry from the Perry Family! Do you even realize what happens to people who offend the Perry Family?"
Lily Cooper’s expression brightened, her confidence soaring.
"You hear that? Don’t think you’re safe just because you’ve hooked up with Mr. Reid. Vivian is his sister, and you’re just a mistress—how can you possibly compare? Kneel down already, I’m waiting."
Lily was brimming with confidence.
Even if Selina was favored, so what?
Vivian had said it herself: Logan was just playing around with her. How could someone like Logan, who didn’t even look at Vivian, be interested in a country bumpkin like Selina?
Selina smirked. Every word out of Lily’s mouth was meant to demean her, painting her as nothing but a disgrace.
Her smile didn’t reach her eyes. "Are you sure you want me to kneel? This place has security cameras."
Lily burst into laughter. "And what good are cameras? If I say it’s your fault, then it’s your fault! Right, Manager Wilson?"
The manager nodded eagerly, supporting her without hesitation. "Yes! I’ll vouch for it—it was your carelessness that caused the accident with Miss Cooper."
Satisfied, Lily sneered at Selina. "You’re nothing but a lowly woman climbing up by clinging to men. Don’t act righteous in front of me. Cameras? Why bother? Just kneel and apologize—it’s that simple."
Selina looked at her for a long moment before letting out a soft chuckle.
"In that case, there’s no need for me to reason with Miss Cooper."
Selina grabbed a nearby teapot. Before Lily realized what was happening, the scalding hot water was poured directly onto her arm with a splash.
Lily’s face twisted in agony as she let out a piercing scream. "Ahhh! What are you doing?! Someone, tear this wretch apart!"
The bystanders were stunned. This woman had guts!
Lily, furious and in pain, yelled, "What are you standing around for? Get rid of her! She’s just a mistress—what are you afraid of?!"
The manager hesitated but ultimately decided to follow Lily’s orders. He turned to call for reinforcements to restrain Selina.
"What’s all this commotion... Oh my God, Lily, what happened to you?!"
A voice cried out in shock as Vivian quickly approached, her face full of concern. "Who would be so unreasonable as to pour water on you?"
Seeing her backup arrive, Lily gritted her teeth and pointed at Selina. "Who else but this shameless mistress? Vivian, this dress is brand-new, and now it’s ruined because of her! You must help me get revenge!"
Vivian finally turned her attention to Selina, feigning helplessness. "Miss Clark, how did you end up fighting with Lily? Even if Lily has a good temper, you shouldn’t bully her. Just apologize to her."
Selina almost burst out laughing.
These two were putting on quite the performance, thinking she couldn’t see through their act.
