left before midnight. “I hope you’ll keep your word and sign the

She replied gently, “Yeah. Dig in. The time will be up when we finish the noodles.” 

Martin Weiss lowered his head and ate the bowl of hot noodles. 

Kyla watched him eat the noodles in a daze. When her eyes started welling up with tears, she quickly lowered her head to eat
